ALDI — Local services in Fergus Falls

Aldi's is usually my favorite store, staff are genuinely friendly and kind to me. I so appreciate that. Today was very different, a "trainer" was training a new person. She was not kind to her trainee or myself. She was very loud and perfunctory to the trainee. I felt bad for him. Additionally, I was told that, "Don't load your bags as I place them" by the trainer. I asked "Why? I always do that." I was told "Because I am training someone." I did as I was told, she was commanding. I really didn't get it, doesn't Aldi's save money when customers load their groceries after they have been rung up? And isn't that part of training customer service to "allow that"? I love Aldi! Its clean, cheap and has all your basic necessities. It is easy to navigate and you can get through the store quickly because if its size. Aldi is small so it wont have every specialty item your looking for as well as different varieties of one specific item but there is plenty of different types of foods as well as foods from other countries which are fun to try. The only downside or bummer about Aldi is the produce goes bad fast, so plan on eating the produce you buy within the week. But Aldi has seriously been a budget saver for our family (almost half the price of other places on some products)! So bring your own bags and quarter and...

Prices are great, service is quick, and store is well-kept and easy to navigate. Only giving 4 stars because sometimes Aldi doesn't have specific, varied ingredients. For example, I could find flour, sugar, chocolate, baking powder etc. for my holiday baking but heavy cream and a couple of spices were unavailable, that sort of thing. So you might not be able to find that specific cheese or special kind of flour at Aldi but it is well worth the visit for savings on your basic groceries and household items.
