Hunan Spring Buffet — Restaurant in Fergus Falls

The food was average. The cost was on the high side for the food being offered. The table was sticky and needed to refinished. The glass dividers between sides of the aisles had obvious old hand prints on it. The biggest detractor however was when my significant other asked for additional spicy mayo sauce for the sushi. And was told that she couldn't have anymore. Wait a minute, I thought this was an all you can eat buffet. Apparently, the sauce isn't considered food. Given that my better half is vegetarian and doesn't eat enough to put a dent in the operational costs of the buffet, this was a little insulting. We were overjoyed to find a buffet close to home that served sushi as part of the offering but dismayed to learn that the spicy mayo sauce was not. Would have given four stars but the waitresses response to our request for extra sauce was a turn off. We also were a little put off by the camera that appeared to be surveilling the dining area while we were eating, it seemed rather intrusive.

Wouldn't it have been better to have accommodated a simple request for condiments creating a potential second or third visit rather than making this our first and last time spending money in...

My best friend and I went into Hunan's for dinner, a buffet that is sure a staple of Fergus Falls, MN. From the wide selection of food at the buffet counters, to the polite staff taking empty plates, I sure feel satisfied with the service that I receive when going here. I have been going to Hunan's since the early 2000s, and I still recall my favorite dish, Sesame Chicken when I was young, which is still my favorite to this day.

Sesame Chicken, as well as egg rolls, cheese wontons, buttered potatoes, breaded shrimp, and low mien noodles (pictured below) are most of what I get for dinner at this buffet. As for desert, cookies, small cakes, and ice cream are sure to complete your meal here. Also, the décor, especially the large, glass chandelier in the middle of the dining room, is very elegant.

Thus, I cannot see Fergus Falls without Hunan's. Hunan's has been part of the Fergus Falls community since it was where Fiesta Brava is now, and then moved into this location years later. I might overstuff myself here, but the food is so good, I cannot seem to resist a great...

I ate here because ofbthe good reviews. Turns out the only reviews that matched my visit were the bad ones. Deserves 0 stars. Food was mediocre and half of it was cold. While nearing the end of my meal I got some grilled chicken. Found a piece that was only partly cooked. This in itself wouldn't warrant a bad review from me. Mistakes happen. What earns them a zero is that when I brought it to their attention, they did nothing about it. One lady took my plate, threw the food away and pointed to the buffet as if to say, "Just go get more." So I talked to the lady up front, thinking maybe the other one didn't speak/understand English. The lady up front went to the buffet and looked at the chicken and said, "Maybe its the only one." I told her they probably don't want to take that chance. She seemed to just laugh then walked away. No apologies, no offer to give me a refund (as most restaurants would), and didn't remove the chicken from the buffet to prevent the same thing happening to others or to prevent contamination. They...
