Wishing zero stars was an option. Without question the worst run organization I have tried to do business with in my LIFE. Building a remote home left me with little options to choose from, so contrary to those i would usually source through, i went through Fergus Falls Home Depot. Counter tops and kitchen appliances. Sales person i worked with counter tops on failed to ask the correct questions or gain multiple pieces of information the countertop company needed, which resulted in them trying to charge me additional money on the back end to cover what their mistakes were on the front end. Then, after waiting weeks for install, countertop company emails me saying something went wrong and they need to start the whole process over again. You think Home Depot would stand up and make any attempt at all to make this right? Nope. Actually couldn't care less. Then, appliance delivery... set a specific date. They give me one day a week (thursday) to choose from. Date is set, but they wont give me a 4 hour delivery window until 4pm THE DAY PRIOR. Super helpful. I call them 3 times leading up to the evening prior. First two calls, completely unhelpful, wont make any effort to contact anyone to help narrow this down, tell me ill get a call by 4pm the day prior. Fast forward to 4:30 day prior, still nothing, big surprise. I call again, am now told delivery is cancelled. No effort made to reach out to inform me, i have to call repeatedly to discover this. And again, they couldn't care less. Mind you, if i needed to change deliver date/time, i must do that 72 hrs ahead of time. Funny how that works, right? Again, they just could not possibly care any less. Is what it is, bye! I am 3 hours away from the house. I have built my work and personal life for weeks around trying to accommodate their zero option mandates, and this is what i get. They'll tell you whatever they need to on the front end to get your money, and then completely fail to deliver on a single promise on the back end. Could not possibly care any less, in case i havent said that yet. The fact that you are a branch of a nationally owned fortune 500 company, and treat people like this, is a complete sham and embarrassment. Take a hard look at the people you have in place to facilitate these transactions. Hold them accountable and TAKE CARE OF YOUR...
Read moreI'll start this off by saying I'm not quite sure how to give a review for such a nation wide franchise that has existed forever, and most people often visited growing up with their parents
I mean they're pretty much all the same except for the staff. So that's where I will place my focus in this review, even though I only interacted with two of the staff members.
This was my first time visiting a home depot in many years, and also the first time visiting as a first time home owner. I had some things I needed to fix a few problems around my newly purchased house, and the staff were excellent at helping.
This employee that I ask, looked like he might have been heading to his break, but he insisted on helping after I asked, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable, he walked around the entire store with me showing me options and giving me ideas on how to fix my gutter.
In the end I got what I needed for the fix, and felt confident in my ability to do so with the items I had purchased after talking to this staff member.
The other staff member was the cashier who was very kind and friendly and made us feel at home, even when one of our items wouldn't scan and she had to come with us to get the code from the aisle for it.
Very great staff and very great store, I would visit again and again (and probably will as I continue working on...
Read moreNancy was great! This was not far my BEST experience I've ever had with an employee in any store.
She helped us select a flooring for roughly 500sqft of upstairs flooring. Originally, we selected cheap laminate from online. She showed us different options and spent about an hour with us helping us decide which one will look the best in our home. When we came down to two options she said no worry take it home! So, without charging us for samples we brought it home to see and wow what a difference it makes. The lighting is completely different and the option I said no to we bought!
Finally, we ended up coming back the next day to get the flooring we decided. After driving back home and installing there was two boxes that were previously damaged. Either poor care or loading process. Keep in mind the cost of each package was about $60. Hopefully, the store can come up with a resolution for us. We drove 40 miles to get a better selection than what Menards...
