Do not use their auto center for anything except maybe buying batteries. I went to get my tire repaired, I thought there was a nail in it and told them that the tire pressure monitor system error light was lit up and that it was leaking and went from 38psi to 24psi in about 4 daysâ time. I also got an oil change. They said it would be 75 to 90 minutes at 2 PM and I had an appointment. They came back and I had to ask what the problem was. The repair guy said there was a valve stem leak and he changed it. At the time I thought that was odd - I would expect they shouldâve come and talk to me about anything different from my initial request. I pa,
and was told nothing of any issues. I walked around to the back of Fleet Farm. When I turn my car on, the âoil filter needs replacementâ was still a message written on the dash. The tire pressure monitor system error light was still lit. I went out to test the tires, the one he had worked was missing a cap (had one before) and only had 33 psi in it, I filled it up to 38. I went in and asked for the cap and whatâs going on, was told âoh he was having problems resetting that.â I reset the oil alert myself, and tried to reset the tpms, only to realize Fleet Farm had REMOVED MY TPMS WITHOUT ANY CONSULTATION WITH ME. I would have taken it in to Toyota, or heck done one of the repair methods all over YouTube. Instead Fleet Farm literally cost me money. And the repair guy was rude. I asked why he would fill it to 33 when the tire instruction is 35 on the sidewall, he replied âbecause I know tiresâ - really?!? You remove TPMS in a valve stem because you...
Read moreFirst off history, I've been shopping at Mills fleet farm for 18 years. As of recently I purchased 2 batteries. Admittedly I purchased the wrong ones. No chance they were going to fit. So I never removed them from the back seat of my truck. I purchased a couple new ones at my local shop, knowing I will return to fleet in a couple days. I did just that, however I bring in both untouched batteries with caps still on, receipt, and card used to purchase. They will not refund me until they test them. Ok no problem they are your brand new batteries. Apparently not the batteries are too dead to test. So here I sit with 2 brand new batteries that aren't charged. They explain that I will need to wait 2 hrs to charge them then retest. Mind you these batteries clearly have never been touched. Needless to say I'm happy they were wrong, as they were dead off the fleet shelf. Now as far as the return policy I could understand if they had been attached, or shown any sort of damage. Now 2 hrs later both batteries test good, however apparently only 1 person can make this return happen, and he his out to lunch. So I am told to wait patiently for yet another 30 to 45 minutes. Never again will I purchase anything of importance from fleet farm. If you decide to buy here, do yourself a favor make them test them before you pay. This has been by far the worst customer...
Read moreBrought my car in to have 2 year old fleet farm battery tested. After asking, I was told it doesn't cost anything. I agreed and went to pull my car around to door 5. My car wouldn't start. I called a friend for a jump. Went inside and the manager said no problem and grabbed the jumper. After jumping she asked for my keys and she jumped in and took charge. At this point I'm impressed. After walking inside I started to wonder how this could be free. When it was done I saw on the bill charges for supplies, anti corrosion treatment, and labor for installing the battery. I was never once told it how much it was going to cost or if I wanted the work done. My battery was still under warranty. After talking to her about it she took the labor charge off the bill. I told her I'm a mechanic and could easily have changed the battery myself. Be very careful and always ask how much because they will just start doing things. They do very good work. I think she just assumed I wanted them to do the work. My only gripe is they must always be up front with cost and can't start doing things without asking. I got whirl winded. In the end it was ok I suppose. I paid for some things that I shouldn't have but life goes on. I left...
