I was very taken back today 02/01/2022. Today we're expecting a major snow storm. I went to Aldi at 21 Adams St as there business hours online state they open at 8:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today is Tuesday. I pulled up at 8:14am and waited for them to open only for the doors to remained locked at 8:30am. I knocked on the door as their was a tall gentleman stocking near the door. He came to the door. I stated the online hours show they should be open at 8:30am. He replied by saying he's being meaning to contact corporate about this which says to me he knows of the listed times on the website. He went on to mention the online hours are incorrect and they open at 9:00am. I told him how inconsiderate this was and that I could have been at another location for the amount of time I've waited. In the process of me talking, he closed the door as if I was'nt talking. I hope this information reaches corporate and it's dealt with. Stores hours need to be honored and listed correctly on all establishments. I had to drive another 7 minutes further from home to a location that did follow the online hours just to shop. What an inconvenience. And these are reasons why people don't shop in their own...
Read moreI sometimes forget they're here! I save on oatmeal, almond milk, eggs, chicken, bananas and chicken broth. I don't save money on spices, green peppers, whole turkeys, clothes detergent and paper towels.
I like bagging my Oren stuff in my own bags so their system of "no free bags & bag your own" works for me. If you happen to forget your bag from home and don't necessarily feel like paying $.08 for a paper bag it $.12 for a larger plastic reusable bag, then you're more than welcome to grab one of the boxes you see laying helplessly in the store.
Honestly, I'd skip on the produce for real. Some of it's overpriced and not the freshest. I'd check your strawberries, peaches and blueberries thoroughly before purchasing.
Overall, it's a great experience. You're not overwhelmed with to many options and since it's a small store, it's usually a...
Read moreThe checkers here are faster than any other aldi I have been to. Even if there's only one I still don't have to wait long in line. This building is older so it didn't get quite the same makeover as other locations when aldi changed up their branding and started offering more healthy options. That's where this aldi fails in comparison to the others. They don't have as many cold/freezer sections as other aldi so product that you might normally find in a refrigerated aisle is just sitting out in the middle of the store. Also seems that produce here has a shorter expiration date. This is still the main grocery store I go to most frequently but some items such as produce I will pick up at the aldi in st. peters on my way home from work instead of...
