I went there to look into getting into racing RC cars after I have been out of the hobby for a long time. There selection of cars seems a little small and the internet is cheaper than their car prices. I also noticed they have some brands in the shop that they don't list on their website, but other brands they list on the site they don't carry their vehicles in the shop on display. I asked them about their requirements to race in each class. The guy behind the counter just handed me a brochure that just listed the classes but no information past that. After fishing around a little bit, I managed to get some information from one of the guys about the general requirements but he didn't seem to make sense on some of the restrictions. They informed me of the course they have and offered to let me take a look. This is where I was super impressed. There was a huge pit area with heat, electric, and its all divided stalls to ensure your stuff doesn't get mixed up with someone else. The indoor off-road track was huge with some cool jumps. The few people I saw there at 6:00pm practicing were very nice. As I was leaving I wanted to ask some questions about a brand of car they had for sale. I decided not to as I didn't feel like fishing for the answers when the internet would have plenty of reviews and be a lot quicker. All in all I was super impressed with the track layout, how it was constructed, and the impression it gave. The shop....not so much. I will definitely go back as I do want to get into racing on this course. However buying my car will be a task for the internet. If I need parts I will try the staff again. It could have just been a bad night or an off day for the staff. Go check them out you decide...

I have been to RC excitement twice. My first time on there off road track which has some type of super hard packed clay, I ended up stripping a servo and breaking a rear control arm which I was at fault for. When I brought the car up for parts they were very helpful in selling me a servo($80) and a rear control arm ($10). I also bought a servo horn($17). Being a rookie driver I knew I was up for some break’s especially on that track. My second time there I was out on the track for less than 5 minutes before I broke the D block on my Losi buggy(holds rear control arms. When I brought the car up for the part they did not have it. I explained I drove an hour from Salem and this would end my day. After determining I was SOL the employee goes behind the counter to show me a skid plate on the back of his car and tells me without it I am amost like to certain to break the D block every time. Why he never mentioned selling me a skid plate after I broke the control arm the first time is beyond me only for the fact I would damage my car again and end up having to buy parts off them. Crummy sales tactic if you ask me. It was also nice of them not to offer me a refund on the 15 dollar entry for the track which I spent a whole 3 minutes on. I walked out of there with my head hanging low as the kid with the long finger nails wished me a nice day. All all this track is not for amateurs and very easy to damage to vehicle and you will get zero help or suggestions o how to set up your car. I can no longer in good conscious, spend another dollar at a place that simply sees me and my friends as walking dollar signs.

-Selling customers onroad kits on a Sunday/Saturday knowing your onroad track will be closed isn't just bad business, it's shady. -blaming racers for not attending when you don't advertise isn't just bad business, it's lazy and insulting. -having your wife attack and accuse the man who builds the track of stealing a soda, isn't just disrespectful it's insulting. -asking Regulars who have purchase items elsewhere "what do I have to do to get you to spend money here" isn't just insulting it's moronic, considering how much he and we all spend there Monthly -attacking Sponsored patrons and blaming them for "huge reduction in sales", when you don't advertise and your own son is a multiple sponsored driver....well that just is pure insanity.

My comments can be deleted or removed. But Todd lacks accountability. He points the finger but does nothing to change his situation.

That smile will last as long as you keep that tab/checkbook open, but at the end of the day...he's just another desperate struggling businessman, who will shamelessly remain unaccountable for his errors. There is a difference between greed and desperation. This is why the "old" Guys don't come anymore. Best of luck to you all. Know your worth, know the value of your dollar. Rc madness and Walcott hobbies are much better options within distance who will treat you like much more than a walking...
