Stopped in this afternoon. There's just one lady in line chatting up the girl behind the counter. 4 employees. No acknowledgement of my existence. No "hi", no "be with you in a minute". Nothing. I'm okay with that for a few minutes. The other customer and the girl clearly have a good rapport, and the girl is giving her her undivided attention. The chatting continues for a solid 5 minutes while I stand there completely ignored. Meanwhile of the other 3 employees, 2 are tending to the drive through and one is wandering back and forth aimlessly. Finally, Chatty Cathy heads out. I stepped up to the counter and stood there ignored for another few minutes while the counter girl went to help the wanderer find cheese. Left coffee-less and cranky. First world problem, but still.    Read moreI got a blueberry iced coffee yesterday that tasted very off… like chemicals. I had a friend try it who also agreed something was wrong with it. I went back to Gourmet today to provide them with some meaningful feedback. I didn’t ask for a free coffee or anything, I just told them what happened and that I felt like the coffee was old or that something was wrong with it. The workers insisted that it tastes perfect and always sells out and that I’m the one who just doesn’t like the taste of blueberry. I always get blueberry from the Townsend Gourmet and it is my favorite… so I know I like blueberry. I thought they would appreciate the feedback and maybe replace the coffee, but instead they criticized me. I will not be back after this...

I'm not from the area, so I called the store and asked the woman on the phone if the donuts were made fresh in-house. She stated they were. After driving 10 minutes it was beyond obvious that the donuts are NOT made fresh in-house. I asked her why she would lie on the phone, but she insisted they were made in the kitchen in the back. A simple call to their corporate store confirmed that their donuts and pastries are made in a central bakery and distributed daily to each location, the same as Dunkin donuts.
Gourmet Donuts is just Dunkin Donuts without the name. There's absolutely nothing gourmet about their donuts. If you want a fresh made donut, go...
