Family Cafe — Restaurant in Fitchburg

My friend went in here today with one of her autistic clients. They were told they were closing at 12, my friend stated that her client normally eats at 12, which shouldn’t matter because since I’ve ever been a server as long as someone comes in before close they get treated with respect and can truly stay until they are finished as long as they aren’t being absurd, my friend and her client were being talked about by the two servers working stating “well they can’t wait till 12 to eat cause that’s when we close”, my friend and her client boxed up their food due to feeling so uncomfortable on account of these two extremely rude and disrespectful servers and went to their car to finish their food. 11:58 comes around and another couple walks into the restaurant, my friend and her client watch expecting them to be turned away, and they were seated and served. Family Cafe & that’s how I am treated here, like family. The waitstaff is just A+ AWESOME 🤩!! & Bill the owner/cook is a really nice guy, food is fantastic, first time i went I admit the home fries were not cooked to my liking (I like mine crispy & brown on the outside & a little soft on the inside) I learned that they also deep fry them if you ask, now getting them deep fried & they’re the BEST home fries EVER!!! (Try it!!) & always get my eggs over easy & they’re ALWAYS perfect unlike most diners in the area. I’ve been coming here about 5 years on/off & the food & service is very consistent & price for the meals can’t be beat, you can easily feed 2/3...

I used to bring my family here all the time 3 yrs ago never had a issue with the food or service but this last visit just wasn't at all to what our experience was ..food was uncooked to two different plates and was charged twice for one food I didnt finish or eat due to not how meal was explained and hashbrowns were uncooked still hard to the touch never mind try to eat also charged in all we went cuase it was our 8 year daughter s birthday and she picked that place over friendly s or denny's cuase I would take them there along with my wife but unfortunately I will not be a patron in the...
