Flat Rock Do It Center really is a great hardware store. The gentlemen that work there are very helpful and courteous, makes you feel like a long time client the first time you walk in the door. They always know exactly where to find what you need. And, considering they are a smaller hardware store, they seem to have what I need. Today, I found a hose adapter that I was not able to find at one of the bigger chain store further down the road, a 3/4" insert that had a 5/8" harden hose thread on the other end. So, Awesome! This place has been our go to place since dad owned it and it's now been passed down to the son and running just as smoothly although I wish they'd get some more of those small canvas zippered bags they used to have in the under $5.00 bin in the middle of the store. Apparently, I wasn't the only one purchasing them as they all disappeared in under 2 weeks. What used to be Flat Rock DYI has now become Krzyske and some notable changes have taken place. The new store is heavily invested in fasteners. They carry more bolts screws and hardware than before. They don’t carry much in the way of paints now. Don’t ask me to use latex paint. Old school oil based paint for me. I would say the electrical and plumbing departments are the same. Still.
