The Taco Stand Taqueria Flat Rock — Restaurant in Flat Rock

I really wanted to like this place. It's super cute and looks very beautiful and the lady who took my order seemed nice but the food was just bad. I got fish tacos and these loaded carnitas fries... the fish tacos had no flavor within anything. They are loaded with toppings and nothing had flavor. Then the fries were so spicy I couldn't even eat them. I don't know what they put on them but I love some spice but this was like eating a hot pepper type spice. My tongue was just on fire. The restaurant is beautiful, the people are nice that work there but for what I spent on food I expected a great meal and got flavorless and then scorching hot to the point I can't enjoy. I shared this meal with my husband and daughter and neither of them liked it either. We just took a couple bites and hated the idea of wasting the food but it was not good. I think when you go to e restaurant that love and effort should be put into the dish. It should be at least somewhat good. I took my order to go and ate by the water btw so that's why I didn't get a chance to just complain to a server. Mind you it was packed so maybe the cook rushed everything but still... My food was done in 15 min. And I would rather wait and have something worth eating than eat something that made me wish I would of went to Taco...

I’m an Uber One Customer so they earned the atmosphere as a result of their consistent prep of their food. Every time the presentation of the food product is always beautiful. Since I’ve “discovered” (we all have found the best non-secret in town) that Your Place The Taqueria Taco Stand of Flat Rock has the BEST TACOS IN THE DOWNRIVER AREA!!!!!! HANDS DOWN!!! You have GOTTA GO to Flat Rock today & try the BEST TACOS…..you get the idea…I guess you know by now I REALLY like their Tacos!! Their Service is FANTASTIC!! They will take care of you & make you feel all warm & “Keely”- Like. I’m sure all the rest of the food is FANTASTIC as well!! Me…? I’m predictable…I get the same all the time. I love their food but I caught them ripping off customers today. I asked what happened I was told that's just how their register rings up. I was polite and didn't argue. On their menus a cheese quesadilla is $2.29 and a California burrito is $9.99. When I paid the total it seemed high so I asked for a copy of the receipt. Something they don't provide unless you ask (red flag number 1). I was charged $3.29 for the quesadilla and $11 for the California burrito.
