It actually took me awhile to write this review because of how irritated I was after buying a couch here and I wanted to forget about it all.
1.) I ordered a couch on Black Friday here from Lazyboy. The first problem I encountered was that they put out an ad in the paper for the sale and then you get into the store and they are priced a few hundred dollars over the ad they have advertised everywhere. So make sure you bring the ad with you to get the price.
2.) After Lynn sold me the couch she never followed up. The couch came in 6 months late and I had to ask for updates. When you spend a few thousand dollars on an item you would expect better customer service.
3.) I opted to pickup my couch to save on the delivery fee. It was a sectional and I own 2 trucks. No big deal to pick it up. EXCEPT I picked it up from Saginaw then get it all in my basement to unbox and one of the pieces was the wrong couch. They did not check it before they gave it to me (they wrapped all the boxes so I assumed they checked).
4.) I call the Saginaw location to let them know what happened. They said not sure if we can refund it. Call the store you ordered it from tomorrow. Mind you I spent around 3000 on this couch and they made it seem like it was to late to fix. I was pretty furious at this point.
5.) I call the Flint store the next day and let them know what happened. Lynn was off but they offered to pickup the couch for free and return my money. Weird they can do free pickup/delivery suddenly, but when my couch comes in 6 months late that’s not an option.
6.) When I go in to get my refund Lynn tells me “I’m not sure why they didn’t offer to rush order the piece that was incorrect.” Great idea, would have been nice to get that offer.
7.) While I’m being refunded this mouthy sales associate in her 60-70s with short brown hair tells me I have no right to be unhappy because it could happen to anyone.
I sincerely hope you choose to shop somewhere else after reading my experience. I ended up with a couch from Costco the same day for a 1/4 of the price and it’s held up very well. I wish you the best of luck if you are unfortunate enough to order...
Read moreAt first i was very satisfied with this place. But it went down the drain over the last few months. Given the circumstances of the pandemic I understood that furniture was going to be delayed. I ordered in the middle of august, maryann our sales person gave me a estimate of 4-6 weeks before my furniture was going to be in. Which was fine because we had to do some remodeling to do and that gave us time. Well the time went by and still no word of our furniture so I called to check on it. They had no clue when my couches were going to be in so the manager offered us the floor model and we declined and decided to wait. A couple weeks later one of our couches came in. A few weeks later I called about the rest of our furniture and they again had no idea when it would be in. We made the decision to get a refund for our recliner, when they went to refund us they charged us another $700 on accident. They eventually refunded us our $1400, which we had to wait 2 weeks for it to be deposited back into our account. Right before Christmas too. At this point we were waiting for an ottoman still, fast forward a few weeks and still no call. So today January 2nd, I called and asked for a refund because we are sick of waiting. On the phone we specifically said make sure we don't get charged again. Well you guessed it, They charged us AGAIN. This time for an additional $300. So now we have to wait another two weeks to get our $600 back, with half the furniture we originally ordered. I was real patient and understanding up until now. Im absolutely fed up and will not be giving an ounce of my time or any money. The manager Lynn was so nice and polite, I have no complaints towards her. The rest of the staff seems very clueless of the place and how things work there. Almost 5 months of waiting...
Read moreThough the staff I had were extremely nice, I purchased an “ultra plush” mattress during the liquidation sale last winter after laying on the one in the store and it feeling like I was laying on a cloud. The mattress I received is the total opposite of ultra plush. I have an auto immune disease that attacks my body as well as fibromyalgia. I NEED a plush mattress to relieve the stress and pain on my body. I went back to the store in tears a week after buying the mattress because I was in so much pain from the mattress being so firm. We verified that I received the same model mattress that was on the showroom floor. They told me it could take a couple months for the mattress to break down and get soft. It’s been almost a year and I dread going to bed every night because of how much it hurts my back, hips and sciatic nerve. I truly feel this mattress was made wrong and now I have no choice but to deal with a mattress that puts me in a lot of pain because I can’t afford another mattress and Godwins told me I can’t do anything about it after 30 days 😩😭. We’ve tried everything to soften it including walking all over it, putting...
