Paul’s Steakhouse and Grille — Restaurant in Flint Charter Township

Got a ribeye with Mac n cheese and Caesar salad. The service was good and staff were nice. First off, they use Waaaay too much butter, my Mac n cheese was oily/buttery and not as cheesey as you want. The steak I requested be medium, but it was raw on one half. Had to send it back to cook and they also use a heavy amount of butter on the steak also so when I got the Mac n cheese with the steak on one plate I literally had to pour out the butter/oil into a separate bowl.

I am harsh on the steak since it is a steakhouse. The cuts quality are better at Texas Roadhouse, these steaks are sliced thin and aren't seasoned much at all.

Tonight was our first time at the restaurant. Wasn’t a great experience. Soup was cold, cold sides, very salty food, & brought us the wrong drinks. New restaurant and kitchen equipment was broke and couldn’t cook sides properly. The Owners friend came in with his family, they were important than everyone else. The staff catered to his table. They served him before two other tables including us and we came in before them. Manager spent more time with that table then anyone else. Waitstaff & Management needs more training and direction. First impression was overall great. Mozz sticks for an app. Marinara does have meat in it. No complaints from me as it was delicious. Just a heads up for those who may not expect it. We enjoyed the ribeye and the pork chops. Our meal came with soup or salad and we got a nice big bowl of cheddar broccoli. The grilled veggies were tasty as well as the Mac n cheese. Nice flame grilled flavor on the meats. Comparable pricing to Texas Roadhouse but appears to be locally owned. Wait staff was friendly and happy to explain things to us. I will return.
