Calloway's Nursery — Local services in Flower Mound

We have been loyal customers at this Calloways for over 15 years and have spent THOUSANDS of $$ here but after a very unpleasant interaction today with an extremely rude employee AND manager, my family will not be returning and will get our plants elsewhere. You have always been able to exchange/refund plants if they die. We had PHOTO proof of the flowers that died after 3 days of planting them AND the receipt and simply wanted an exchange with new flowers (not even money back). Lady working at the counter was rude from the start, with an unwelcoming attitude. Didn't even say hello. She called over the manager after saying "I made her mad because I told her to dig up the flowers and bring them back." The manager was also extremely rude, did not apologize and said to dig them up and bring them back. We informed them that there is nothing to bring back as they are shriveled up in the dirt and she said "I don't care bring the dirt." Seriously?? Calloways needs to do a better job at hiring friendly people. We have never had any issues in the past with any of the employees, they have always refunded even large trees that died with only photo proof/receipt but for $10 flowers we need to bring the dirt. Ridiculous. Very...

The Calloway’s at Flower Mound are amazing! Both the manager and assistant manager and every employee is just so willing to help. New to Texas with a white canvas in our backyard, they first greeted us with cold water in a hot summer North Texas day! Then, referred us to the service of landscape design which was awesome! We have continued to add additional areas in the backyard and Mr. Ty and Mr. Dylan are always so amiable and knowledgeable. I have been introduced and become addicted to several plants: ligustrums, abylenes, banana plants, yuccas, nandinas flirts, peaches... you name it! Their delivery crew was so respectful and courteous... they answered several questions and doubts I had about a few of our plants. My youngest daughter came out yesterday to our new backyard and said: Mom, this backyard is looking like the Calloway store! ❤️❤️❤️ thank you and keep it up! Keep the great work and treating us...

I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but came out here because I've been consistently impressed with this location's service and overall "reaching out to be helpful" each time I'm there. While I could buy my plants via a number of places, I choose to support Calloway's because they support local neighborhoods (incl. mine) via their "Yard of the Month" program with local homeowner's associations and that impresses me because I think it shows commitment to the neighborhoods they serve. But...even if you didn't have that in place, it's worth it to purchase from them because of their great service AND employees that can actually advise/help you determine what's best for your yard/garden! I recommend Calloway's simply because it's just a better nursery experience...
