Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Flower Mound

We’ve been bragging and telling people about this place about how they are not stingy with their food and the atmosphere but we’ve been having 2 bad experiences the last couple of times. This time the worker was so stingy and when I told him I wanted it a bigger bowl (salad) he was giving me the small regular bowl when it was not what I asked, then was being stingy with the chicken even after ordering double. He then transferred it to the big salad bowl with barely any rice, when asked for more he said it would be extra… extra for rice??? That barely covering the plate and let’s not talk about the meat when it was not the size of a salad double meat. My wife has a gluten free allergy and he put the tortilla and started preparing and when she said no tortilla he didn’t even change the plate or anything. Honestly couldn’t even talk to anyone. I don’t know if they changed managers but the last couple of times we’ve been they have been terrible. He was just trying to get us the little bit of food they had left because the place was packed instead of making more. We’ve been loyal customers and recommending people but now everyone needs to know how...

I just tried this place for the first time and had a good meal in a fun place. I liked the bright colors and surfer vibe of the place.

It's a counter order spot where you choose a burrito, salad, or other entree and you choose your protein and options. I chose tacos on corn tortillas. Both the corn and flour tortillas are made in house. I tried the sweet pork and the shredded beef. I'm not a fan of sweet, so I preferred the beef. If you like sweet and savory flavors together, you'll probably like the pork or maybe the raspberry chicken. My tacos came with beans and rice - I got them on the side instead of in the taco. I tried the chips and queso too. FYI the refried beans and the queso are spicy, but the Pico is not.

They also have limonada, horchata, and agua fresca in addition to the usual soda and tea offerings.

My favorite things were the soda and the house made tortillas. If you like salads or stuffed burritos, you'll love this place. I myself am eager to try the enchiladas.

We've gone here multiple times and love it!! The food is delicious, the employees are so nice and it is a clean facility. The horchata drink is amazing-the salads are incredible with the yummy tomatillo ranch sauce on the side. Love that there is a drive through option as well! The only improvement I feel can be made is serving some shredded chicken (along with the grilled chicken option). Cafe Rio(Costa vida’s competition) serves shredded chicken and it is amazing --it's like the beef option at Costa but shredded chicken instead of beef. If that option was a possibility, that would be amazing!!! We used to come here pretty much weekly but have now moved to a different town and want you guys to come to Forney, Texas!!
