I bought a very expensive large area rug. It wasn't as large as I wanted so I hesitated to buy it on the spot. The store worked with me so I put it on a 24 hour hold until I could measure my area to see if it would be suitable. It was, so I called the next morning to say I'll buy it & that I would need to P/U within a week. As I was leaving the store they stuck the hold sign on it & I just mentioned it was covered with lint balls (probably from shampooing it). When I picked it up it was obvious they had taken it down, vacuumed it & rehung it. It was in perfect shape when I arrived to pick it up. I did not request or suggest that service from them. They just did it. Before loading it in a truck (it was lightly raining) they folded it & wrapped it in plastic so not to get wet, again without requesting that service. They were just terrific. The price was fantastic compared to new prices. It looked brand new after vacuuming it. I am happier than a clam about the whole shopping/purchasing process & ecstatic about the extremely high quality large area rug.
I do agree with the reviewer that wrote, the store is full of cheaply made new or staging (barely used) furniture. I wish they had more used furniture available but they need inventory to make sales when they can't get more used furniture. If they cut their commission they probably could get more used furniture. Their commission is a lot to ask from the...
Read moreContacted the furniture manager to find out if they were interested in some furniture I had available to consign. some of the furniture I sent them pictures of was approved. I was told that I may bring it in at my earliest convenience. Contacted them about two weeks later when I was ready to bring in the furniture and the furniture manager said they had not approved any furniture that I had sent pictures of. they only had pictures of furniture they had not approved. I was a little bit perplexed being that I had spent quite some time getting the furniture approved and had not tried to sell the furniture myself based on their approval. The manager was rude and dismissive but finally did his job and found the emails pictures that I had sent him of the furniture. I had contacted them again that day and ask them if they had the ability to move the furniture for me because it was too heavy for myself and my husband to move ourselves. I was told that they would send me a quote within 2 hours. That was several days ago and I never heard back from them. I went ahead and sold the furniture myself. I would definitely not recommend them if you have...
Read moreI was disappointed when I arrived at Home Consignment Center which was my first visit. There are two reasons I wouldnât go back. No public restroom and the owner said customers donât mind, they will go next door to Trader Joeâs. Google: Does a retail store have to have a public restroom in California? This bill requires a place of business that is open to the general public for the sale of goods and that has a toilet facility for its employees to allow any individual who is lawfully on the premises of that place of business to use that toilet facility during normal business hours, even if the place of business does ...
The Jewelry Manger said something very strange to me. I asked him about repairing my diamond bracelet which is made of single-cut diamonds. He said if I replace the cuts who say that you wonât say they fell out and want them to be replaced. And he said I do not want to repair the bracelet. I said, Okay. His words haunted me all afternoon when I got home I mentioned the incident, to my daughter as the jeweler said. We came to the conclusion he was questioning my integrity or my skin color. All I can say... I...
