Leighton Dance Project — Local services in Folsom

Originally, we chose Leighton Dance Project for my daughter because of its close proximity to our house, but we didn’t realize we were joining a hidden gem. My daughter started at Leighton Dance Project about a year ago. She participates in the cutie club classes, Spotlight program, parents night out events, and summer camps. She has gained so much confidence and has developed an absolute love for dance. She has taken from many of the instructors and interns, and loves each and every one of them. They keep the classes fun, engaging, informative, and they genuinely care about each and every student. My daughter feels like a celebrity when she walks in, as all the teachers know her by name and give her a hug. She loves all of her dance friends as well. Their semi-annual shows are top notch. My daughter is constantly asking me to take more dance classes! The best part of Leighton is that there is a place for everybody… whether it’s first dance steps, shining in shows, starting competitive dance, or the die hard dancers. The staff here is so unprofessional! If you have a complaint be prepared to NEVER be heard, they won't let you speak, they will talk over you, they will tell you they care what you have to say but they don't care at all. I'm still waiting for the owner to give me my money back, this has been an incredible waste of time. If you want your kids to be professional dancers this place is not the place to go, there will be girls playing in the middle of the class that you pay for and the teacher won't say anything to them so it will turn into a play area and you will just be wasting your money. I've been dancing in the Sacramento Area for over 40 years and this is one of the BEST dance studios in town. They are really like a family and have great values and integrity. Miss Alyson is always prepared for class and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we look our very best on performance day. Miss Kelli has the most interesting and unique choreography in town, she really brings out the best in the dancers. Miss Anne is so skilled in her ballet choreography, it's poetic to watch.
