Until I visited the Folsom Grocery Outlet store on Oct. 1 with a friend, I wasn't aware that each store is individually owned or operated. That explains why my neighborhood Grocery Outlet store in Carmichael has a wine inventory much less varied than the Folsom Grocery Outlet. The selection of wines on display at the Folsom store may actually rival your typical BevMo store. Also on display at the Folsom Grocery Outlet store was a very nice selection of summer & garden inventory at 50% off. I was very happy and surprised to find weather resistant tea stained American flag bunting for only $3.00 a piece!

Manager Christopher clearly said he would not honor the price of the $2.49 sticker for the Italian seasoning because he said he hadn't yet made the sign...if you don't want to honor the price it's by then don't put the item on shelf unless the tag is with you as well 😡

Call, I wish buy a food from this store and mostly have a problemwith the bad food.Turn up gonna return back to items because of the receipt.Nobody can give the receipt for 1 dollar shopping. Do not buy a fruit from this store. Especially Malone and avocados.

I went shopping at the Folsom location last night and my bill came to over $300. It was my first time shopping in almost 3months. (other then just bread and milk) I usually shop at the Rocklin location as it is near my work that I haven't been able to be at for a couple of months due to the virus. This location was very rude and I am not sure but I have been in customer service for for the last 45 years and I wouldn't be rude to a customer that spent over $300. I wouldn't be rude to someone spending $3. I asked a employee how much something was and he said he didn't know and started to walk away. I asked him if he could find out for me and he took the package from my hand and said it should be right on it. As if I didn't already look. The gal at the check stand was nice enough although she didn't tell me how much I saved. I always look forward to that. I then asked if I did need to return something would it still be honored after the no return policy because of the virus. She wasn't able to answer me and called another young lady up to help me. To which she said no returns on anything. That I am taking my chances on what I walk out of the store with. I purchased 2 garden hoses at $20.00 a piece. So I asked her if they get a hole in them or the lights that I bought don't work then I am just out of luck? To which she again said I am taking a chance on whatever I have bought. She then said that I am suppose to only be buying essentials so then there wouldn't be a problem. So there you go. It was all I could do to just get my money back right then. I know she doesn't make the policies on the returns at this time of crazyiness but who is she to decide what is essential for me. Like needing garden hoses to water my vegetable garden. So I can grow my own vegetables so as not to have to buy them. So in these times of unsureness about everything I would still have expected better and more appreciated customer service. I haven't wanted to go out shopping as much as that young lady seemed to have not wanted me to have been at her store. And no one offered to see if I needed help out. Cart overflowing with bags that I even had to carry one and push the cart. So what prompted me to write this review as I wasn't going to do anything except remember to tell my Grocery Outlet people in Rocklin how much I appreciate their great customer service, was the fact that there was a item that I purchased that was a really good deal and was going to go back and get some more. But I thought I would see if they had any left so I called and the young man that answered the phone didn't hear what I asked about and was very rude in asking me to repeat myself to which the phone is dropped and I am not sure if I am on hold or what because I hear some talking. Then the guy comes back and says no ma'am we only have such and such and I repeated to him just to make sure and he said right. I said okay thank you and he hung up. No thank you for calling not even goodbye. I guess I was bothering him. Again the worst customer service to not even say goodbye. Not to mention rude. So now I think I will keep my business in Rocklin where I am...

Omg today about 9:30ish I had a very uncomfortable uninviting nerve wrecking feeling to the point where I was close to getting into a verbal confrontation with the black American person at the register. This person was the only one in front and not a single customer on site but me. I walked over with a detergent to ask what the price was because no price tag. ( I walked up and said excuse me very politey and that person didn’t look. I repeated it “excuse me can I get a price check on this” standing at register person looks at me and says nothing. I thought person is having a bad day or what? So I repeated now with firmness Excuse me ? Still nothing just leaning against the register with not emotion very ill facial expresssion. I was at this point upset but didn’t show it. I was ready to ask what’s your problem but decided to let it go. The only word that came out without any eye contact was 17.99. Looked away and was off in he/she own world. When I was ready to check out 10 min later I was so glad to see a different checker and that other one was nowhere in sight. They called up another checker and I was ready to drop everything if it was he/she that came thank God it was someone else. Everyone here seems cool and always nice and respectful. Not sure what was going on with this person today. But me having worked in grocery for 20 plus years. Number 1 thing is customer service. This was the worse ever. I don’t care if you don’t say hi but show some respect. I don’t care if you are not concerned the product doesn’t have a shelf tag(even though you should) but show some respect. I don’t care if your own your phone, show some respect. Or find a new gig. I truly hate to leave such a review but this is how disgusted I was. We shop here often with our 3 kids. How do I go back after this! These review is solely on one person. I have no complaints elsewhere other than more organic products...

I had my first not happy experience with the Folsom store and a new manager. Be careful to either bring your own bags or purchase them there. My bags were in the car, so I put things in my cart. My coffee was missing. When I went in to tell the manager (who was my checkout clerk) he said there is absolutely nothing he could do. It was on my receipt and I double checked my trunk with the other items and the inside of my car just in case. He walked out like he wanted to check my trunk but deferred to another customer. Awkward. I went back in to buy coffee as I needed it and his response was "Are you sure you want to buy this?" I live in Cameron Park and have gone to that store weekly. I was incredibly disappointed that he made no effort to help. I am guessing the guest behind me is set up with coffee for the week. I have been a manager in retail and I would have replaced the coffee, much like Wal-Mart, Safeway, and Raley's does. I hope the $10.00 was worth it to the manager. The owners of the store are much more knowledgeable so perhaps I will defer to them in the future. Who know's maybe this young manager will learn from...
