Folsom Palace — Restaurant in Folsom

Made large order online for pick up at dinner time. Spring rolls were good. Have never previously had wonton soup but this had alot of vegetables, but the wontons were kind of huge (not bite size) & sadly were not appetizing in anyway & one bite was more than enough. The northern vegetable chow mein was a large serving & was good. The Lemon chicken was unusual in that the chicken was breaded baked (?) and then slice, laying in a bed of typical lemon sauce. That was ok, but the breading separated from the chicken and so was not really that great texture wise & really bad to eat reheated. The fried wontons were also something new to us. They had a cream cheese and slight seafood (?) creamy center. They were great. the Cashew Chicken was on the greasy side with oddly shaped & chicken pieces that were unappealing in texture. It also had disappointingly few cashews. The Canton salt & pepper Sea bass was very good.The fried Rice was a generously large serving & they did not skimp on the vegetables! It had egg as well as some bits of broccoli and small slices of zucchini added to the usual peas, carrots & corn. Sadly, the Shitake mushroom chicken was inedible. Greasy & the flavor was so bad that although all of our party loves chicken, mushrooms & snow peas, we didn't swallow any of it, but threw it out. This was our first time eating food here & felt that the portion sizes were matched well with the prices, and we might get food from here again, but would probably stay with the things we had tried & liked. we picked up our order for take out, but the inside of the restaurant was...

We were thoroughly impressed for a long time with this place. Could always count on great food. Then every other time we came here it was mediocre… the last time we ate here which was just a couple of weeks ago, and they messed up our order. But we said, that can happen and the owner credited us for the chow mein they forgot. That night and the couple of times before that, the food must have been made with msg. I had the worst stomach pains all night. I must be gluten for punishment. I love Chinese so of course we go to have it again tonight! Our fault for ordering on Christmas but most of us are ill and making dinner wasn’t in the cards. We ordered what I thought was early because we ordered at 430. But I get a call from someone at the restaurant saying it won’t be ready until 5:20. My husband already left to pick up our order so he was just going to waste time. He arrived to find that our order was not ready but hey it’s Christmas and they were busy but when it came to be 5:40, I called. Was told sorry it’s busy and would be another 10 minutes. I told them how disappointed I was because I was called to be told 5:20 and my husband had been waiting for the food unacknowledged and without being informed of the further delay. It is now 5:50 and still no food. We will have to find another place. I am so saddened. I cannot imagine patrons inside were waiting over an hour for their food. Unfortunately the service and the disappointment in food quality lately leaves us finding...

I would come here alot with my wife and by myself. Always getting the wonton soup. For some reason my price for wonton soup would jump from 17.00 to 20.00. So lately I started asking for prices. I'd get no vegetable add extra wonton and the guy tells me .75 each additional wonton. I say ok. Then today I call order the same thing and now the guy tells me the wonton are 1.50 each. I told him I always get charged .75 for wonton. He's starts getting an attitude as if im lieing and tells me I don't know who would tell you that. I told him you just lost my business and he his response sorry about that. Ok I'm sure you are. My advise to mgmt is properly train your employees so everyone knows the correct information. I hate when I buy something over and over and the prices continue to go...
