I would give this place a big fat negative 0 if I could!
Mel’s dairy Bar on Forest Drive is the worst place to ever eat!! The worst food ever, if you identify it as food!
The food had no freshness at all, it was old, cold, not cool, cold, nasty, hard and greasy!!
The slaw /hot dog was old, hard, cold and green dark color, unable to be eaten , the bun was old and hard.
The chicken was hard , greasy and over cooked. The pieces extremely small, shrunken in size and refried in grease, greasy in touch and full of grease inside to the taste! The wing was small, hard and unidentifiable?
I would never give anyone or anything something like this , and to sell something like this is just fraudulent and uncaring!
The fries were very, very hard! No texture or flesh of potato inside! Unable to eat, undesirable! Who can mess up fries!
This place can! They don’t know what they are doing, they don’t know how to cook! To sell something like this, they can’t and don’t even care!! It’s all about the money, not even the integrity of themselves and certainly not the customers! The customer service was non existent!!
They need to close this place down, putting out the junk they are putting out is a health risk!
There is no future in this place at all. A waste of time and money and the risk of getting sick!
My husband and I will never go back nor will we ever recommend it to anyone!!!
We’ll see how long it last in Forest Acres! I’m surprised it exists here, it fools and gets you you until you go inside and see what you’ve gotten, got with !!!!
They no it’s bad food and what they are putting out because they stand and watch you as you try to eat it, to see your reactions or see who they got over on this time!??

Read moreMel's Dairy Bar was, unfortunately, not very good.
I gave it two (2) shots, and it did not impress me. The first night I went, I asked for a vanilla ice cream cone rolled in sprinkles. This is probably one of the easiest things you can ask a dairy bar to do. However, the girl working the counter didn't seem to have any idea what that was. I got a hot fudge sundae instead, which was pretty good, but the customer service remained disorganized and chaotic. They were all screaming at each other, the tables were a mess, and there were a lot of people who had been waiting a long time for their food.
I came back a few days later to give it another chance, and it remained less than ideal. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries, and specifically ordered it "for here." However, they gave it to me in a to-go box and bag, which made it kind of difficult to enjoy. Anyhow, I sat down to eat, and the tenders were terrible. They were undercooked, hard, and resembled rubber more than they did regular chicken tenders. The inside lobby was pretty nasty as well.
I might give it one more try, and I'll spare it a one-star review due to the fact that it just opened, but I was not...
Read moreWent for the first time this week. When I placed my order, which was 2 cheeseburgers and a hamburger, the young lady at the window could not get the order right. All three burgers were mayo, mustard and ketchup only. It took her four times to get it right. After waiting for 10 minutes for the order, we checked the burgers to make they were correct and of course one of them was not. When I went back to the window to tell them it was wrong, a gentleman came up and started arguing with me stating it was made correctly. I told him it was made all the way, no one in my family eats tomatoes and onions. He finally just grabbed the burger and walked away to make a new one. The new burger was handed back to me without a word being said. Well guess what, the burger still wasn't right, but my wife said not to take it back. The meat was tough and there was so much mayo, mustard and ketchup on the burger that it was nit edible. If you are expecting something close to Zesto's, you will be highly disappointed. A small McDonalds cheeseburger is 1000 times...
