Vicious Biscuit — Restaurant in Forest Acres

We waited a year for Vicious Biscuit Columbia to open. It was worth the wait. I rose early to have my car serviced and picked up biscuits for myself and my son on the way. I waited in his office near the place where my car was being repaired. My son had the Hen Solo- a fried chicken biscuit- the breast was moist and juicy with a crisp and beautifully seasoned crust. The biscuit was baked to perfection. I had a build your own biscuit. Bacon, egg and cheese on a gluten-free biscuit. Being gluten-free, I struggle to find good bread and pastry. My search has ended. The gluten-free biscuit was buttery and had a wonderful texture. It satisfied my longing for 'real bread.' Upon returning home, I took my husband back to Vicious Biscuit for him to have Brunch. He got the Old School Breakfast (two eggs, choice of bacon, ham or sausage, grits or hash browns and a biscuit that was PERFECT). The portions were so plentiful that he was unable to finish it. (I am too ashamed to mention that upon returning with my husband, I had a second breakfast biscuit---yes, they are that good). The quality of the food was excellent, as was the preparation. The only thing that out-shined the food was the service. The staff was warm and welcoming. They were helpful and charming hosts and hostesses. The phrase, "They couldn't do enough for me" applies to our visit. They were patient with multiple inquiries, took all the time needed to explain the different options and how I could make them gluten free AND advised me as to what I should not order. In a time when congeniality, patience and good manners are on the wane; we have found an oasis of hospitality, charm and dedication to serving others. Welcome to the neighborhood Vicious Biscuit! (My next visit I am getting the KETO POWER BOWL. I can't wait). I failed to mention an outstanding staff member who has the patience of Job in dealing with people who have sixty questions about the menu.... Cameron! Came to pick up an order ! Waited 45 mins patiently. I asked after 30 mins waiting if my pickup order was ready! I asked a gentleman about the order he said we are busy. He proceeded to send his manager over! His manager got in my face and says what’s the problem. I replied ive been waiting patiently for 45 mins now and he says i take it that you are a delivery driver?? Ohhh I use to be a delivery driver so you know how it goes you just going to have to wait.! Being very much rude and yelling. I said sir you can back away from my face and he said well cancel the order and get someone else to get it and demanding he got my name. Rude nasty and disrespectful more to the story but to much to type. young lady at the register that witnessed his behavior also apologized on his behalf for being aggressive and unprofessional. I also asked her for corporates number she went to get it and he told her to not share that information with me instead he came back in my face and told me to call up to the store and he would give me the number . He also gave me his name which was not his real name and he did not have a name badge on either.

I honestly think it was definitely discrimination and racism involved with this situation and per one of the employees this is not the first time this manager has had it out with someone in this particular location . It’s definitely needs to addressed and investigated.

Update: quick update from this review. I want to thank the regional manager Andrew for rectifying this situation immediately once I placed my review about my experience. He listened and showed much concerned and made it clear that this will type of behavior will not be tolerated and they will go beyond and above for customer service /...

Man…. This place is top notch. For starters, it’s on the pricier side depending on what you get but you get your moneys worth and then some! Everything came out as advertised both times that we’ve been. Sorry for not taking a picture of the food before we devoured it all! It didn’t cross our minds at all when it hit the table 😂 Freshly squeezed orange juice is a term used loosely at some places but this is easily the freshest I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’m not an avid drinker of orange juice but I will say, it was delicious and worth getting everytime. The Fat Boy was what I ordered yesterday and I’m not a fan at all of pimento cheese. It was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken is thick, juicy and full of flavor. A stand-out in terms of flavor even with the flavorful pimento cheese in with it. The wife got the Vicious biscuit and even though jalapeños aren’t my thing in terms of flavor, it was incredible and not overpowering in the slightest. I almost wished that I had gotten hers 😂 We both shared the beignets and 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 YUM. Having the add-ons with it completed it to a taste beyond what words could express. Today, we went back and ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch, the shrimp and grits and the fried green ‘maters that comes with pimento cheese and bacon jam. Everything hit spot on with flavor, presentation and even the expectations of a full stomach because we could definitely take a fat nap now 😂 If I like it, I write a review for it. I don’t waste my time hyping up a business if they don’t deserve it but these folks know what...
