There were two of us coming over from Verizon, this store didn't have any phones yet, great. The store created two brand new lines and told us to come back in a month to swap out the phones. (Shady from the get go) plus I should have known because I used to work at a corporate store.
ANYWAY, We were billed for the first month. While not being able to use any service on these new lines AT&T sent bills for an entire month of service, which we didn't even have yet. How do we get billed for service when the phones aren't even set up yet? LOL
This is where the fun started, explaining over and over again to customer service and asking why we're getting billed for service we haven't even activated yet because the phones had yet to be shipped. Several months later we decided against switching to AT&T.
After having returned the devices still packed, still in the boxes, the bills came again and again. Charges kept mounting for service never used. Let me emphasize, these devices were never taken out of the box, our numbers from Verizon were never ported in, THE SERVICE WAS NEVER ACTIVE LOLOLOL. And we were billed nearly a thousand dollars.
So in conclusion, the bill has been referred to a debt collection agency, which we are in the process of disputing, credit was damaged as a result of this.
The moral of the story is: if you are porting in your numbers from a different carrier, do not, I repeat, do not let these reps talk you into getting new phone numbers. There is a process to port numbers in clean and efficiently from different carriers, there is absolutely 0 need to create new lines and...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible! I went in there one event and upgraded 2 phones to the newest iphone8's and added another line to my account also.. That same evening 1 of the new phones was dropping calls and when texts were sent to the phone the screen would become blurry and unable to read. Also the reset date on the phone was 2 weeks prior to the day I bought it. The othe phone worked fine and the reset date was the day I bought it.. we didn't even transfer info to the phone with the 2 week prior date, so I thought that was strange... I went to the store and told them my issues and they wanted me to pay a $45 restocking fee... the receipt says subject to a restocking fee not we're giving you a restocking fee even if the phone doesn't work correctly! I bout the phone just 18 hours ago! I just want to exchange it for one that going to show a current reset/startup date and works correctly.. The guy just kept bring up the "$45 bucks".. yes he's said "bucks".. I'm not sure if this was a power trip for this wannabe salesmen or if he is just that stupid to know how to keep customers coming back.. I called Apple and they said they'd take care of it and didn't understand why the Forest Lake, Mn store wouldn't help out a customer that's clearly a customer with a good history.. I'll NEVER GO BACK to the Forest Lake, Mn AT&T store in my life. Way to go man, ya lost a customer.. Keep up the...
Read more"My experience at Prime Communications AT&T in Forest Lake was infuriating! I came in looking for assistance with my phone and plan, but instead was met with a sales rep who either lacked critical knowledge or withheld information that I needed to make an informed decision. Instead of verifying my eligibility, they rushed me into a new phone and plan that I wasn’t qualified for, leading to frustrating complications and to me needing to return a phone and incur a substantial restocking fee.
To make matters worse, rather than properly porting over my phone number, they set me up with a temporary number, which added even more confusion and hassle. This lack of professionalism and attention to detail left me dealing with unnecessary problems that could have been easily avoided. I’d caution others to avoid this location if you're looking for knowledgeable and transparent service."
UPDATE
As you can see from the so called "owners" response there was an offer to resolve my issue. This is obviously "lipstick on a pig" As requested, I responded with details regarding my specific issue but my response has been met with nothing "crickets" as expected. Prime Communications is a sham company that is interred in profit only. There is no commitment to the customer. ...
