I gave them a 3 star because of the furniture, which deserves a 5 star, but the finace company Acima is bad business. I purchased furniture from this location and was advised that they have a 90-day no interest in finance the furniture. Not knowing after the furniture was delivered, I called to make my first payment and was told a totally different number from my receipt. I called the finance company, who told me the additional fees were from taxes and processing because they have to make money, too. When eddie came on the line, I politely introduced myself, and he was rude to begin with. His response was yup and a huff. I said okay and went on to explain my situation to him, thinking that he would listen and assist or at least further clarify which is what I was asking for, and he hung up on me. Both him and Victor were very rude. Victor, the initial person I spoke to, was quick tempered and quick to throw insults. When I got on the phone with him, I told him that I didn't understand the bill and needed clarity. I even advised that I worked in collections and so was familiar with how companies operate but that what acima was doing was very VERY different and I didn't understand the difference in the amount I was told at the store versus what they were charging. I then explained that I just wanted to pay off the account that day, and he kept explaining a 90 day pay off. I explained many times that I didn't want to pay in 90 days, but sooner even the whole thing that day, and he came back with well the company has to make money, and they do off of fees. I thought that was rude because I felt he was listening to respond and react rather than understand. I then asked for a supervisor where he had me on hold a few times and mentioned, after the third hold, that the supervisor wouldn't be back for 45 minutes to an hour. I asked, so you only have one supervisor? He said no, we have many. I said good, please connect me with one. He then said he didn't have authorization to pass me to a supervisor and needed an explanation for speaking with one. The first time, I just said I would just like to speak with the supervisor. But after the third or forth hold I told him that I needed to speak to the supervisor for clarity because I felt that not being upfront with all fees and charges included was a poor business practice and just need clarity on my charges. Victor then said that if I pass him to a supervisor , it would cause issues for him and make a big deal. I told him I just needed to speak with one. At one point, he even threatened me by saying you can just return all of the merchandise, but that will be an even bigger mess for us to deal with. I said Victor let's take a beat because I don't think you are understanding what I am asking." All of a sudden, he got authorization for me to speak with a supervisor, one of which was 45 minutes to an hour out at break. I didn't appreciate the lies and rudeness from both Eddie and Victor. He and eddie were rude, dismissive, unable to communicate effectively with the custome in being continuously calm and clear, and were quick to be upset and at the end of the day the issue was not handled. I can say this was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I would not recommend acima to ANYBODY after the service I received. I am extremely disappointed and want nothing to do with this company after that. Buyer be ware when financing with Acima there financial services. After your 90 days are up. Your once balance of 2700.00 jumped to 6000.00. That's more than a 100 percent increase. A person would probably never be able to pay them off. Whatever you buy, use cash or credit cards. DO NOT...

I visited this store location on Monday 3/21/22 seeking out a Bed for part of a set I already had as I cross over into the store I was approached by 2 sells person's ended up with Dana she was the most wonderful and professional temperament was 100% and she showed me a great time. I had no monies and credit not good at all I not only got the bed finance but I have a full white bedroom set. Praise our God because he had me and Dana cross each other's paths. I'd like management to know she is an assest to your company her customers service is through the roof (outstanding). I had to make some changes to my original order and had call Dana back 2 days later adding on to my order she was just as good I called back to verify about the change she was assisting another customer. I spoke in the mean time to Mr Gavin OMG he not only verfiyed my order but he was very much aware of the whole transaction all of this was done with Price Buster while I had another app with value city they lost out all of my chips are with Price Buster I didn't have to spend all your monies and will get very good items my sugguestion is look for Dana in Marlowe Heights and i was so impress. Also in the Langley Park location i spoke to a young lady whom just answered the telephone all I had was a bunch of question she not only gave a 100% phone service she totally impress me outstanding to whomever doing the hiring these sells person understand what customer service is all about. Read moreI went to this store on Father’s Day worst service ever. They are lacking customer service skills. Singing and dancing like were in a club instead of assisting me. I selected one table for $400 that was not a good quality, so I select another one for $899. The sales person stated that is $899 I looked at her and said okay I want it. She the. Proceeded to ask me how do I want to pay I said finance. She said oh you have to get a approved for that. I said I will, after the application and approval process she called another last over and said look what she was approved for. The lady that was called over looked and said that’s all you want? I said yes, but your financed for I stated I know what I’m financed for. So between the conversation.the singing, fake dancing. The sales associate calls the assistant manager about three times. The assistant manager could not hear her name being called because of the loud music. Finally the assistant manager comes over and says WHAT. I turned and said she wants you to xerox my ID. She replied what I said she want you to xerox my ID. She Complied, you can tell she didn’t want to. So I decided after talking to my sister to go to the Price buster on Central Ave., to change the credit and store from Forestville. I wasn’t going to let that store get any credit from me. I must say that Rob, Ap, Zack did an outstanding job with making my experience a happy one.
