Felt like eating Mexican food on the way home and discovered Corinto. When I entered, the mexican music was turned on at maximum volume making any level of conversations extremely difficult. There were 3 customers present, 2 at the bar and 1 at a table. The young waitress behind the bar was joking around with the 2 guys in front of her while intermittently playing on her phone. When I walked in, I could tell everyone noticed me. The waitress continues to talk to the 2 guys and playing on her phone ignoring the fact the I was standing a few feet from the bar awaiting some kind of gesture for me to either approach her to order or sit down at any available table. Nothing happened. I thought she didn't get the hint, so I decided to sit down at an empty table to nonverbally announce that I was serious about eating their food. I sat for about 5 minutes but nothing happened still. Music was too loud to make any noise to get her attention. Finally, I got up and stood next to one of the 2 guys she was talking to. She has to see me now. Nope, didn't work. What worked was when I looked over at one of the guys and gave him an innocent "please help me out brother" look. It worked. He told her I wanted to order. Success and smooth sailing from here. Nope! Everything I said even if I was reading from the menu, she would just give me a deer in the headlights look and turned to the same guy who helped me. He repeated the exact same thing I said but this time she understood it. I finally got my order in and sat down at the empty table quietly. No more problems, right? Wrong! The cook dinged the bell indicating my food was ready; however, the waitress was nowhere to be found. A second ding, then a 3rd, then a 4th, then a 5th, then I lost count. Magically she materialized, grabbed my plate and gently placed it in front of me. That was the last interaction I had with her until it was time for me to pay. Out of all 4 customers present including me, she spoke to each one several times but not once returned to my table to ask how I was doing or if the food was okay. Boy, I had to look around the restaurant several times to convinced myself that I didn't accidentally walk into someone's home and interrupted their evening. Never been to any food establishment where you practically have to beg to order food. As for the food, I think it is below average. Trust me, I am being kind. I know Mexican food because I grew up in Texas where it is virtually impossible to find bad Mexican food there. The thing that took the cake was how the waitress ignored the sweet guy who was sweeping the floor. This guy was not one of their employees. He was actually one of the loiterers (maybe homeless) guy from outside. Anyways, when he finished sweeping, he put the broom away, stood in the middle of room, and start waving good bye to her with a sweet smile. He did this for about 5 minutes but she never acknowledged him. Before you start giving excuses for her, this guy was over 6 foot tall and everyone except her noticed him waving. So, if you yearn for below average food, getting ignored by the waitress, and get your ear drums perforated, the Corinto Restaurant is the place to go. Guaranteed to Disappoint or you will Not get...
Read moreI'd been craving authentic Mexican since leaving California last year and thought I finally found a good spot close to home. WRONG!!! The staff is inattentive and dismissive. I looked over the menu and asked a question about the tacos and seeing that the price was $3 I asked if it was a plate of 3 for $3 (they are 2/$1.25 in California so that's why I assumed that) the obviously annoyed cashier said yes, so I ordered 4 orders, thinking I would get 12 tacos total for my family of 4. I got my order after an almost 30 minute wait and there were literally 4 tacos in the container. Before I even looked in the bag I told her that it wasn't my order because obviously you can't fit 12 tacos in that container. She opened it and showed me, grabbed my receipt off the stick, showed it to me and thru my receipt on top of my exposed food. I got the food home and it was basically all onions and cilantro, I ordered a shrimp taco and It really had just 1 single shrimp in it bad onions, nothing else lol and it had the nerve to be warm🙄 These were absolutely the worse tacos I'd ever had and probably would have had better luck at Taco Bell, at least I would have been able to get $20 worth of food from them and...
Read moreOkay I’m gonna give this three stars simply because the pupusas were torch. HOWEVER I did not like the service at all. When I came in and needed to speak to someone in English because I don’t speak Spanish, the lady at register quickly got an attitude. Keep in mind I just spoke to someone in English to order my food. They then all talked about how I don’t speak Spanish, because I guess I look Spanish LOL.. and I understood exactly what they were saying. I took three years of Spanish... I just don’t know certain words and would rather not use the extra energy if not needed (cause someone there spoke English).
Food good, service terrible. Hard decision to make idk if I’m going back but I might get it...
