Unprofessional sales lady. I took my son there to buy him furniture for his first home. approximately 2 months ago. He just completed his military term and returned back from overseas. I was asking questions regarding a mattress for him, and the sales lady was short with her response and agetated. I didn't say anything regarding her attitude, her responses continued as I was irritatng her. Well, my man as well my son and sister all make separate comments regarding her attitude. I normally will handle a situation like this at the get, but I kept my composure for the benefit of my son and his excitement as we pick out his furniture. This is a big day a major life step. But my son said she really has nasty attitude towards us. So. I addressed her behavior politely telling her your attitude sucks and I will not spend my money with you and you need an attitude adjustment, you're at work representing the store. I walked 10 steps to the counter where the manager set and never intervined or helped until I approached her. I know what happened, and it happened the first time visiting the store a year ago when I bought furniture for my home and my daughter's after just moving here from Los Angeles, ca. The sales people sit at the counter and make comments regarding people who come in and past judgement on who is who and if the have money to buy or just a waste of time. My husband is black and I'm white and the day we walked in the first time I was looking at their faces and their body language, and the lady in charge was the same lady that was manager 2 months ago. When I asked for help in the living room set as he passed it off and she was really watching the sales man rearrange and redo it a few times.and I heard her commits to as mother gal regarding she knew it and they are wasting his time. I didn't leave almost but the young man worked so hard and helped us, now ive been in the store with him for 4 hours and 12 thousand later, and in cash/check. The young man said the 6th thought you were not going to purchase a thing and now she is upset because she lost the sale. I said I want to share something.i learned a long time ago and that is never judge a person on their appearance or treat them any different then you would if you thought they had it as you will loss out on some important lessons and its better to have all the little sales and have customers who appreciate you for your character and your willingness to help them with their. Purchase big or small then to sell yourself out to brown nose who you think the customer is. See, my husband and I have it and we choose to be us and not buy into this kind of crap with shallow people butt kissing after the fact and asking about us like you care, not, just being nosey. I continued going back there during the past year as we were moving in and our children needed their furniture and only because of the sales guy, even though she is all nice and welcomed me with open arms I just don't condone her treatment of individuals who she judges based on what she believes if you. This last encounter was just like the first time, not the same lady, but the same experience and I politely said you guys are the most unprofessional judgemental people I have encountered and you should know you are nothing but bottom feeders and I will not spend as penny with you ever, but I want you to watch me drive to the store across the Blvd from you as I buy a whole home worth of furniture not just a mattress a couple hours later 5600 dollars and the furniture will be at his home the following day, and an awesome.sales guy with no judgement on us or just a mattress he didn't care as he was there to help. Slumberland even though your corporate mindset is unlike the gals representing you are paying the price for their lack of service to help others. I love your furniture but I will get past it.    Read moreI purchased a bed and base here a little over a year ago with a protection plan. The base is no longer flat, people canât hardly sleep on the one side because the bed goes downhill to the side. Slumberland came and looked at it and told âthatâs how itâs supposed to beâ I called the protection plan company, they sent a guy to look at it and he agreed there was definitely something wrong and recommended replacement. Protection company doesnât cover that though because the bed is still under warranty. Called slumberland back and was told yes they got the report saying the base needed to be replaced but that the guy who came out doesnât know what he is talking about. Thatâs the way it supposed to be. So here I am $2000+ into a bed I canât use thatâs only a little over a year old. Protection plan they sold me doesnât cover anything and the manager of the store knows better then service tech so they are not doing anything.
Buyer beware, these guys will not stand behind there products. Go to homemakers in Des Moines. We bought a couch there and had problems and had a new couch by the end of the week. They know how to take care...

Now I was told that the insurance covers everything accidental and when I went to the to get it fixed I was told it only covers spills and after talking to corporate and the insurance company I found myself back at were it start but being told that it should be covered by warranty as what I did should not have caused it to break unless there was a defect so hopefully we're on the right track.
