The Worst Apartment Management in New Jersey ā Tenants Pay Premium Rent for the Lowest Quality of Service
This apartment complex advertises itself as a premium residence, but the management is by far the worst I have ever experienced. The manager is arrogant, unprofessional, and openly disrespectful to tenants. When people pay expensive rent, there is a basic expectation of professionalism and service quality. Instead, tenants here get the exact opposite: hostility, blame-shifting, and constant inconvenience.
Parking Garage Construction ā Poor Planning and Tenant Harassment
Less than one year after moving in, management started a major garage construction project that lasted over three months. During that time, I was forced to move my assigned parking space at least three different times. Moving itself is not the problemātenants can cooperate if the process is communicated respectfully. But here, the manager:
Treated me like a problem simply for missing an email about the space change, even though I work long hours and cannot always check emails on time.
Went so far as to block my car, preventing me from leaving for work, instead of providing any reasonable solution.
When I went to apologize and explain my situation, I was met not with understanding, but with anger and blame.
If emails are not read, management could easily place a written notice at the tenantās door. That is a basic step any responsible management would take. Instead, tenants are punished and humiliated for problems caused by managementās own disorganized construction project.
Renterās Insurance Incident ā Deactivation of Access Without Cause
Recently, my renterās insurance expired. On a Friday, management notified me, and I immediately responded that I would fix it as soon as possible. By the very next day, they deactivated both my building fob and my parking accessānot even allowing a reasonable grace period.
I reinstated my insurance the very next day and had full coverage again.
Despite this, my access remained deactivated for over a week, meaning I could not park in the garage or even enter the building normally.
During this period, I repeatedly explained and asked them to restore my access, but they refused.
When I finally expressed frustration, the manager threatened to call the police on meāeven though I never raised a hand, never touched anyone, and was sitting down calmly during the conversation as instructed. On top of that, the manager made irrelevant and insulting remarks like, āDo you know how old I am? I have a son your age.ā This was not only unprofessional but also personally demeaning.
Disrespect, Hostility, and Lack of Basic Customer Service
What makes this all worse is the tone and attitude of management.
Instead of working with tenants to solve problems, they treat us as if we are a burden.
Even when I apologized sincerely for missing an email, I was only met with blame and hostility.
When I asked for reasonable flexibility, I was threatened with punishment, not offered solutions.
I am a professional student and have dedicated years to my education. It is not that I cannot argue backāI simply choose not to lower myself to that level. But it is shocking that someone so unprofessional and uneducated in basic respect is in charge of a property that claims to be āpremium.ā
Amenities ā Another Example of Poor Value
On top of everything else, tenants are charged $600 for amenities. For that amount, one would expect well-maintained, high-quality facilities. Instead, even the amenities are poorly managed and not worth the cost. This is yet another way management collects fees without delivering value.
Living here feels like paying a premium price just to be disrespected and inconvenienced. Between endless construction mismanagement, unreasonable deactivation of access, insulting treatment from the manager, and overpriced amenities that are not properly maintained, the experience has been unacceptable.
Do not live here. You...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Fiat House Apartments was so stressful and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn future residents.
1ļøā£ Payment and Late Fee Mismanagement
In both September and October, my rent payments failed without any notice from management. The apartment only contacted me after two months, when I suddenly received a bill exceeding $5,000, including multiple late fees and bank failure fees.
Had the management informed me after the first failed transaction in September, I could have easily resolved the issue and avoided the second $200 bank failure fee and the second late fee. I later discovered that the management team changed between September 12ā16, but no one informed residents of any transition or payment issues. Even though my autopayment was enabled, no message or email was ever sent to alert me about the payment failure. My bank also showed no record of rejected transactions, meaning the issue originated entirely from the apartmentās side.
2ļøā£ Unprofessional and Disrespectful Leasing Office Interaction
When I raised the issue, a leasing office staff member showed me an internal payment record (which she later said was ānot supposed to be shared with residentsā) confirming the failed and returned payments. I requested the same document by email for verification, but my request was refused.
During our conversation, I became emotional because of the unfair treatment. As a non-native English speaker, I made every effort to communicate clearly, but the staff member was impatient and dismissive. At one point, she even threatened to call security to remove me from the office, saying she was a āprofessional with years of experience.ā It was an extremely humiliating and unnecessary experience for a resident simply asking for an explanation.
3ļøā£ Lack of Empathy and Accountability
Another management representative entered the office during the discussion. Instead of addressing the situation or asking if I was okay, the focus was only on āhandlingā the conversation. No one followed up or apologized afterward.
4ļøā£ Parking and Maintenance Problems
Frequent parking garage ārenovationsā forced residents to move from P5 to P1. My reassigned space on P1 had visible water leakageāonly my spot. When I requested a change, I was temporarily reassigned to a handicapped parking space with the assurance that I would not be fined. However, that space was often occupied by another vehicle. Despite multiple in-person visits, emails, and reports to the doorman, no one ever addressed the issue.
5ļøā£ Security Deposit Deductions and Legal Concerns
After I moved out on late August, my refund check was dated on late September āexactly 30 days laterābut I received no email or notification that it was ready. Under New Jersey law, landlords must return security deposits within 30 days and provide written documentation explaining all deductions.
When I finally received the check, I was shocked to find that $1,250 + $200 + $225 had been deductedātotaling $1,675āwith no supporting inspection report or explanation. Despite multiple requests for proof (āEvidence supporting each deductionā), management never provided any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a place to stay. From day one, Zaida, the manager, has been absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make our move-in process smooth and stress-free. Not only did she help us settle in, but she also provided us with valuable information about the surrounding area, such as where the nearest bank is and the closest supermarket.
Zaida and Honey took the time to personally show us around all the amenities the building offers. The study room, conference rooms, cinema, and game room are all top-notch and make this place feel like home. Itās clear that the building is well-maintained, and the amenities are well thought out for residentsā comfort and enjoyment.
Both Zaida and Honey have been incredibly helpful, always available to assist with anything, and they genuinely make the experience feel personal. Their warm and welcoming attitudes make all the difference in creating such a positive environment here.
The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and the building itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. I truly feel like Iām part of a community here. If youāre looking for a well-managed building with outstanding facilities, this...
