I do not recommend this place at all! The service is horrific! I went there one evening with my family to have dinner. To start my soda was flat and I asked the waiter Edwin to switch out my drink because it was flat. I decided on a pina colada which was awful… it was like I was drinking juice. It wasn’t even slushy. Then our appetizer came out after the food. The condiments that I asked for came after we finished eating and the tostines came after we packaged our food to go. The waiter had no assistance. He had 6 tables and was overwhelmed and needed better training. Manager never came to check on us. So we paid and then my husband just wasn’t happy. So he called the next day just to get the run around from the manager Anna, who spoke to us like we were children. She rescinded on an offer to come back and do a redo. Then called us and said oh no the owner said you can have 25% off instead. Anna was very inconsistent with what she was saying. So I asked to speak to the owner thinking she would have more class and more professionalism . However, it turns out Jillian is worse! She listened to our side of the story and then told us the best best she could absolutely do for us was give us $34 dollars back . I could not believe that she had the nerve to insult us in that manner. The bill was only $134, it as nothing for her to comp us a visit and make it a better experience. She’s insulting and needs to learn that customers should always come first. There are many restaurants In this neighborhood that are way better. It’s all about the hospitality!!! Not your egos! Don’t bother going here because you never know what type of service you will receive. And honestly the food...

Recently went to Kuba restaurant for my anniversary dinner and I must say that it was honestly a bad experience. We sat upstairs were is much bigger and the music from downstairs could barely be heard. We ordered ropa vieja as an appetizer and it did not have much taste. The plantains they were in were very stale and hard, no flavor. My wife than chose shrimp in garlic sauce and the shrimp were watered down with some sort of water and with no taste of garlic at all. I ordered the churrasco with white rice and black beans. After tasting, the churrasco did not have any flavor at all. The chimi churri sauce had a bit of flavor but was way too spicy to eat. We ordered 2 margaritas that were also watered down and could not taste the alcohol at all. For $15 each, it is not worth it at all unless you want fruit juice. Our intention was to stay and have a good night to drink the night away but went home immediately. I suggest they invest in a DJ or live music to be played upstairs as without it made the night very boring. Also, for a Cuban restaurant I expected Latin spices with good flavor and it’s upsetting to know that I wasted my anniversary here. I chose this restaurant because of the reviews, 4.5 stars but not sure where they got these ratings from. Please don’t just listen to me, give the restaurant a chance and see for yourselves. The restaurant has a lot of potential and can strive if they really looked into their drinks and food. I personally would not waste my night here again but if they choose to change I would definitely give it another shot because the...

Went today with my husband for the first time around 5ish and decided to sit at one of the tables by the bar since happy hour was going on. Waiter was friendly. Ordered a round of drinks and 2 appetizers. They were ok. My husband decided to order another drink, the minty margarita. He took 1 sip and didn’t like it at all. Asked the waiter if he would be able to exchange it for a regular mojito if possible. The waiter said absolutely. Came back with the drink and said manager told him that they couldn’t exchange it and would charge us for it. So we said ok no problem to please bring the mojito out anyway. Very bad customer service in my opinion because we didn’t mind paying for drinks and food just not something we didn’t like at all. Ended up leaving it on the table. Also ordered an entree to share, the octopus and tostones. Waited 1 hour for it and never came. Asked the waiter if we needed to wait more time for the meal to please bring the check instead we were tired of waiting. He said it would only be 2 more minute and we said ok then we would wait. Came back with no food and said the manager said if we wanted a free dessert since we didn’t like the drink. We said no thank you. We did not want anything free. He said ok and came back with the check. I guess the food wasn’t close to being ready since they never brought it out. Don’t really know, maybe we went on a bad day but honestly wouldn’t go back. We love going out and don’t mind spending money at all but definitely want to go to places with good customer service. Didn’t...

I went yesterday around 5pm for dinner with my daughters the place wasn’t that busy. We ordered a Pan con Bistec with fries. They brought out Cuban sandwiches, my daughters both agreed we ordered steak sandwiches but waiter argued and showed us were he wrote Cuban on the note pad. Anyways they brought us the steak sandwiches and I asked them to pack me mistake Cuban sandwiches to go for my son which of course I was paying for. I asked for hot sauce and ketchup on two different occasions and I’m still waiting for it. I asked for the check waited 20 minutes and nothing. A couple that was seated never got a menu and had to get up and ask to get a menu thingy to scan after a while of just sitting there. Another couple no one ever came to see them and they got up and left. I’m sure it’s not the waiters fault for being understaffed but when I go out to eat I expect good service for the money if not I cook and eat home. I ended up paying $75 plus tip for being annoyed. I much rather go to Dos Amigos in west New York next time I’m craving a Cuban steak sandwich. We had to get up with our stuff and go to the bar for them to take my payment. On the good side the calamari was good and so were the sandwiches. Mojito on the weak side but pretty.

Confused with how this place had such a high rating. The staff was nice, food was awful, service was slow, and the atmosphere was confusing. Claiming to be Cuban Asian fusion, it sounded like a great concept but was executed very poorly. Just because you put pulled pork inside a frozen reheated bao doesn't mean it's now Cuban and Chinese. I'm also not sure where the paella came into place...isn't that Spanish? It sounded great but tasted like month old rice with fishy frozen seafood. Food makes most of the star rating. It was ok. Nothing would make you sick but it also wasn't very appetizing either. I've had some good Cuban food and Asian food... and this was neither. Drinks were decent unless you ordered iced tea. I'm not sure what I was drinking...maybe stale lipton instant tea? Not sure. My friends did enjoy their ceviche dish though. So one of 7 plates were appetizing. Presentation was good, quality not so much. Atmosphere was very chinese but the table and seats were sticky. I'd say pass. If you're in Fort lee, stick to traditional korean food!

Kuba restaurant was a great and pleasant experience. The location has a separate bar area and dinning area for all guests. Seating was very fast and the inside had its own cozy atmosphere will we were directed by our host to our table. The food choices were very detailed and there were many choices to select from on their menu. Prices were fair despite the location and amazing view you have of the George Washingto Bridge while eating... Our waiter was very professional and recommended our dishes. They were delicious. Food was fresh and cooked just right. Loved the view from the second floor of seating area. Plenty of public parking was available in the vicinity. We literally parked at the front door of the restaurant. I recommend this location for everyone who is in the area of Fort Lee, NJ and looking to have some Cuban food while visiting. Peter S.
