Mediterranean Gourmet — Local services in Fort Lee

Mediterranean Gourmet has the best homemade hummus, selection of olives, olive oil and varying thickness of pita breads (pictured is my favorite King's Pita Lebanese style thin pita). I love the delicious Greek jams especially the All Natural Apricot Marmalade with Honey from Attica Greek Products. It's flavorful and fruity sweet on yogurt or toast with cream cheese. For gifts they have beautiful high quality olive oil. I gifted the olive oils to colleagues and they thought it was excellent. Mediterranean Gourmet has many brands of grape molasses cookies called Moustoukouloura. Every different brand has been tasty in it's own way and the cookie is unlike any American cookie out there. It's uniquely Greek and special in flavor and texture. I have bought hummus freshly made that was still slightly warm from the mixing machine. It's delicious you won't be able to buy any other hummus. Kosta, the owner, and Tomomi on staff is extremely knowledgeable as they have tried their own products. You can ask them about what something is , if you are like me and not Greek, and they will assist you. In June, Tomomi will sell incredible vegetables from her family farm. Great find I came across today by chance answering a Marketplace post from a lovely Japanese girl named Tomomi. She was selling organic veggies and herbs, and Homemade raspberry jam and works at this awesome Greek gourmet deli. So many wonderful Greek imports and homemade prepared foods to choose. Take a look at the refrigerator section too if you like cheese and hummus and Greek desserts. I had been looking for dark chocolate covered pistachios and dark chocolate orange peels and found them here! So much to find I absolutely would recommend this place. It’s located at the western end of Main Street very close to the entrance of Rt 46E. Plenty of street parking. Absolutely the best Greek supermarket this side of Astoria is located in Fort Lee!!! Always such a pleasure shopping there, and what a wide variety of products from their selection of Feta cheese, a plethora of different olives, breads, pita, homemade Pastitsio, Mousaka, Spanakopita, Tyropita and pastries to boot!!!
