I believe in leaving honest reviews after all transactions are done. On Saturday, Dec. 30th, we were hot tub shopping at different stores from Joplin, Mo to Arkansas. While on Google it took me to Galaxy's website & I didn't realize that I had clicked on Ft. Smith's store , Gwen was very helpful in sending me pictures & price ranges on hot tubs that we were interested in. After I realized that she was in Ft Smith, I told her that we were closer to Roger's & we're heading that way, Gwen said "no problem, I will tell them that you're heading that way & that I had been talking with you". We were pleased to see that Galaxy in Rogers store had a good selection. Maxwell helped to find a nice Jacuzzi & him & Joe were very knowledgeable & willing to match a deal that we were seriously considering in Joplin on a Hot Springs tub that was available to be delivered as soon as our 220 v electric was set up. We put $1000 down on the Jacuzzi J-325 to be ordered new & applied for the financing on the balance. We were told that it showed on the computer to be In Tulsa by Jan. 10th. Our credit score is excellent or we wouldn't have been looking at all. On Monday the finance company called & said that they needed a photo ID to approve credit. (we gave them one in store when we applied) my husband was going to Arkansas that day & said he would just stop in the store & he did. Tuesday the financing said that they were still waiting on it, couldn't get anyone at the store to give us a straight answer. Financing Co. blamed it on the store & the store blamed it on financing company. Finally, 6 days after we purchased they got everything straight & approved. Around the 10th I messaged the store to find out the status & to let them know that our electric had been completed. This is where we felt like the sale was done & they had the money in hand & really didn't care, we were getting the runaround at the store, the financing people were very prompt. Maxwell called to say that it was going to be mid February (6 weeks after purchase) before it was going to be delivered, due to the delay & confusion in the financing. I said NO & called my husband. We were set to cancel everything & I called Joplin to see if they still had the hot springs tub & they did. In the meantime, my husband was back & forth with the store & finance company & they had a floor model available in Ft Smith that they said that they could deliver the next week. They agreed to take "some" off of the original price that we agreed on since this was a display model. My husband agreed on the deal & I was happy to get the hot tub sooner, BUT I felt like we should've received a bigger discount since this was a floor model?? The Hot Tub was delivered & installed yesterday, 1/25. Install went great with the knowledgeable crew & I hope we can enjoy this tub for the rest of our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service at the store and our salesperson was/is great (Gwen). But when it came to installation, a different story. We sent our location map in for travel on property, was told of the delivery and install date. Driver called to tell us on his way, no map was given to him. Husband was able to leave work and ensure safe travel path. Received an e-mail after delivery that the pool was on its way. Next day was scheduled to start set up. Husband took off work, loss of pay. Waited, waied a little longer, no call, no show. Contacted scheduler and salesperson. Yes we were scheduled for that day. End result they were delayed, due to finishing up another pool install. All it would of took was a phone call to update us. Galexy called in a third party contract crew for Install next day. Crew called, said on our way be there in 30 minutes. Asked if they had the travel map as to not bring heavy equipment over French drain and shallow sewer line. Answer was NO. Galexy scheduler or salesperson was not updated with changes to us, the customer. We had our electrician set up for day after install. Now he is unable to scheduled us for at least 2 weeks. New crew is working in extreme heat, thanks guys! But due to last minute scheduling unable to get cement truck until Monday. Josh the chemical guy called us today to help with getting the pool pH right. Poor guy got an ear full. But was very understanding and supportive. Communication within Galaxy is definitely lacking...Looking forward to having a pool, but very disappointed in loss of wages and lack of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought a pool table from Galaxy Home Recreation. The purchase experience has been seemless and the staff has been helpful. I was surprised to find out that the pool cues being shipped were 57 inches long. The first conversation i had with sales person was over the size of my room. Which is 11x17. I was told that my room could accommodate a 7ft pool table with 52 inch pool cues. When I notified the store the manager informed me that they do not carry the recommended pool cue size, so now I am headed to Amazon to complete my purchase. My surprise is that Galaxy Home Recreation was providing no recommended solutions, which leaves me to believe thier abilty to provide high level of customer service is not a...
