Fancying for fish? Salivating for seafood? Well, you've found a good place to enjoy.
Firstly, the food. The cheddar bay biscuits, a recipe everyone wants to get their hands on. If you receive them fresh out of the oven, even better. These biscuits give you a party in your mouth. The cheddar cheese, buttered, installed inside the bread, melts in your mouth. The biscuits are soft, flaky, and are probably the number one starter one could have. We came as a family of five, so others ordered salad before the meal. The lettuce was crunchy, veggies all tasting fresh, and the sauce made the difference in a great salad dish. When our food arrived, the plates were steaming, a pretty good sign, and hot too. Everyone got a variety of fish, except me. The shrimp is really good and soft. The catfish was lightly breaded and gave that slight crunch, improving your eating experience. As for the steaks, they were cooked as we were asked, no sauce needed. You may think that this place only does seafood well, but no. My chicken breast was really tender and juicy. and well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were also Devine, giving me a warm feeling, like I was happy. While the food is out of this world level, the service was less of an excitement in our experience.
Secondly, the service. It didn't take us that long to get seated, but it never went uphill after that. You see, our waitress was overworked that night. She was really friendly, but I feel she couldn't give her full potential. Having to rush from table to table is extremely difficult, while providing excellent service as well. She gave us water to start but didn't get back to us for about 10 minutes more. We ordered, then had to wait quite a bit of time. She did check on us regularly, trying, but she couldn't do much to help. It took about 40 minutes to get our food, which was not pleasuring after it started out quotely perfect. It took about an hour to get our food. I was displeased, but our nice waitresses make up for it somewhat. I think Red Lobster was understaffed that day, which just won't work out more likely than not. However, it's on the up again when we talk about the atmosphere.
Third, the atmosphere. When walking in, you are greeted by live lobster in tanks, multiple tv's, and a really cool aquarium to the right. Consisting of all different fish species, it's something I would've loved as a kid. They have some fancy music playing occasionally, but usually its calypso. You get the best experience sitting in a booth by a lobster tank. A bar is also here, which means you can relax by the seaside, enjoying that drink. Overall, you really feel like you could be on an island or by the beach. The atmosphere is overflowing with that beach feel. Unfortunately, the price isn't the most sustainable for daily eats either.
Lastly, the price. For 5 people, we ate for 127 bucks. If we do the math, it's about 25 dollars per person. Personally, the price isn't a plus. If it could be lowered, I and others would be delighted.
In conclusion, this place has food that makes you feel like you're in the land above and a killer atmosphere. However, because of the long wait for our food and the pretty expensive price for what we got, I'm going to have to give Red Lobster 3 stars. If these two issues are fixed, this can be a 5 star...
Read moreMe , my husband and mother had Lunch at the Fort Smith Red Lobster on 6/18/24. We have dined here many times and have always had wonderful service and excellent food. My mom wanted shrimp so we traveled 45 mins to eat. The waitress came and took our drink order. My husband ordered sweet tea which is his favorite. When he took a sip the tea it was sour. I had water and my mom had unsweetened tea but hers tasted fine. He informed the waitress which was Tonda that his tea was sour and was bad could he please have a coke instead. Now she could of just said I'm sorry let me get you that coke and I'll check on that tea, but no she got a attitude about it saying she had made that tea at 1030 that morning. My husband politely said that sometimes sweet tea just goes bad because of the sugar in. She kept saying she just made it. I had forgotten my eye glasses so my husband went to the car to get them. When he walked away she told another staff member that someone had a attitude loudly enough for me and other customer's to hear. Which upset my mom and that upset me because she has not been well. She proceeded then to bring the coke to the table. I told her my husband was not being rude. She then said he had no right to speak to her like that. Like What? All the man said was the tea was sour. We have always had great waiters and waitresses but her attitude was horrible. The food was excellent as always kudos to the chefs. But it was a horrible experience with Tonda. We will be back to one of our favorite places to eat. But not with Tondas service. Also there was no manager there at the time so I was unable to speak with them. I hope nobody else has...
Read moreIf I could leave a zero star review I would. Piper was our waitress tonight , Some of the worst service I have experienced. I ordered endless shrimp umm yeah I got my first order . The second once she finally came back and I was able to order she didn't put the order in and forgot I ordered and asked if we was ready for the check. forgot what I ordered and they didn't come out until after I had walked out and left the rest of our party to wait for her to come back .I was afraid i was going to lose my cool. If that was the only thing thing that was wrong maybe it wouldn't be that bad. First round of biscuits came right after we sat down. We got appetizer and salads came I asked for biscuits to be re filed my glass to be refilled and chips for our appetizer. We got the chips and I waited no biscuits ever came and my drink never got refilled. Food came I asked the guy that brought it if we could get biscuits. She came back over to check to make sure our food was ok within a min of us getting our food I asked for my drink and biscuits she still didn't bring me my drink refill or biscuits. I believe when she saw someone at our table share there drink with me she got my drink and apologized.WE NEVER Got the biscuits iand then it just never got better even the payment process wasn't done correctly. I don't under why I paid for a meal I was half served. I expect more from somewhere that is supposed to be a higher...
