First off, my friend and I come here often. And never really have an issue. But on the morning of august fifteenth, we pulled into the parking lot.The only waitress was smoking. We go and sit at a table because there's nobody to seat us.And maybe ten minutes later, the waitress shows back up.Takes our drink order disappears for another five or six minutes. Finally takes our food order. We have to explain what sides are. She says her tablet's not working. Goes and gets another one says it's not working. And as soon as we kind of start complaining about it, all of a sudden, it's magically working. There are 3 dirty tables that she hasn't touched even though us and one other table are her only customers. We ask for a little extra gravy for a country fried steak. Because the gravy barely covered half of the steak. She gets mad about this and starts complaining about us and mouthing off as she walks away. At this point it feels like she is a waitress. That's having to handle two or three big top.Tables and several small tables. But in reality, it's just us a table of two, and a table of two that had just walked in. On top of that, my strawberry compote was almost water and then, as i'm putting whipped cream on my strawberry pancakes, I had it in a little side cup.I realize it is watery as well.I want to request a fix to this. But for another eleven minutes, we set and wait without being checked on. In fact, other than when are drinks and food were delivered We really didnt see her until the end. Also when my friend requested just a little more gravy, so he could actually cover his steak in it he.Requested that she ask the cook for that little bit extra. Not a full side, and even showed her the plate that way.She could explain it to the cook and she said she would ask, but we could hear her as soon as she went back there. She just said she needed another full side and rang it up and charged us for a full side. Her name is Kathy i believe. As I said before, we come here often multiple times a week for breakfast and have never had an issue like this.We spend good money. The prices are not really cheap. And all we are expecting is a little more service and food that matches up with the price. We pay for it. Not to be treated as if we are unruly or bad customers.Simply because we request something when the waitress is spinning out of control.Because she feels like she's so busy when there's really actually no business going on at all. Other than a couple two top tables. Especially when she has time to smoke a cigarette, it feels like she would have time to take care of her customers or clean her tables.Nobody was ordering huge...
Read moreThe place was clean even tho they are doing a little construction inside the place.
Our server was sooo nice, and patient.
Now lets get to the food. I'll go plate by plate of what we ordered.
Pancakes: (my boyfriend's order) I tried a bite of my boyfriends normal pancakes. Lack luster for a resteraunt. Don't get me wrong their good, its just i expected fluffier and better than what could be made at home.
Belgin waffle: (bought to share) This is a waste of money. Its just a waffle. It was brought out semi warm, i didnt even eat my full half of this thing. Its just a waffle, a bland waffle.
Cheesecake pancake: (my order) Okay here is where i am ticked off. The description says there would be cheesecake bites inside the pancakes. notice that word has an s. BiteS. there was ONE. In the center of the top pancake, and only the top pancake. The pancakes are toped with strawberries, drizzled with strawberry syrup, somesort of creamcheese or sugar syrup and i opted for whipped cream. The sugar or creamcheese drizzle didnt blend well with the whipped cream. This pancake is a disapointment.
Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns: This one will be quicker.
Bacon didnt taste real, tasted premade and warmed up. i chipped my tooth on it. Not kidding.
Eggs were rubbery, tasted premade and warmed up.
Hashbrowns decent but also premade and warmed up.
Chocolate oreo shake: (Bought to share) this was the most amazing thing that was bought. Pretty much this and the nice server we had is saving ihop from receiving a worse score!!
Price: i talked about the food now how much it costed. Over priced. You are paying for the ihop name not really the food. We spend about $44. Some would say that's not bad. Well, for better tasting food and freshly made, id agree.
Now to end this review. As i said in the beginning this place is nice, serving staff was nice, shake was amazing the food is lacking and it's overprices.
Normally i would end my review here. Except this. As soon as i walked outside i felt it. My stomach wasnt happy. I knew I'd be seeing what i ate again before i got home, and i was right. Before we could walk down the street to get home. I painted the sidewalk pink. Pink you ask, why pink? Well. That cheesecake pancake.
I hope this review will help...
Read moreIhop Fort Smith Arkansas has lost my business forever... Also, I own and operate a limousine service, and I will steer my parties away from there. I will take my prom parties elsewhere. My Favorite Go To meal anywhere serving breakfast foods is; 2 scrambled eggs, Hash Browns, Gravy, & toast, no meat. Never been to a restaurant that can screw that up, until today. Eggs from a carton. Limp greasy undercooked bacon, lump of hash browns burnt on the edges and cool in the middle, room temperature margarine that wouldn't melt on my toast. I left 1/3 of my eggs and hash browns because the 4 tablespoons of gravy didn't provide enough moisture to the meal. I'll be damned if I ever pay $3.49 for a cup of coffee again and it didn't even come with a spoon to stir my coffee! Had to ask for silverware. Had to ask for salt & pepper. Had to ask for maple syrup for daughter's 2 pancakes. Had to ask for napkins. All for $30.00 plus left the lady a tip.
this quote below is from another reviewer a week earlier, and I HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE! "This place is taking the fast train to obliteration. It used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots, but they have whittled the menu down to a placard. Plain black coffee is over $3.00. $35 for two people to have breakfast. No steak. Eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, and coffee. No condiments on the tables. My poor waitress had to make a dozen trips, fetching coffee, s&p, hot sauce... she was the only thing I can brag about. Food was fine. I'll choose Denny's or Waffle House, or any of the many Mom and Pop restaurants...
