I give this store two stars because the employees typically try to be helpful and do their best, so I want them to get some credit. I don't think their management is very good. I've used this store many times, only because the pricing is hard to beat. I most often leave there aggravated, as the stock is hit and miss, the products are often fairly well beat up, and the store layout is horrible. For example, the trim is in the rear most corner of the facility. After having to sort through what is usually a messy pile of mismatched products, trying to navigate a cart full of 16 foot baseboard through those cramped and disheveled aisles will test anyone's patience. My last shopping trip was almost two weeks ago and not being able to get all the doors I needed, I paid for several doors in advance so I would get the first batch in. My most recent call was yesterday to see if the latest truck had doors on it and was told, "No, and we don't get another truck until next week." I called the Pensacola store and found they had all the doors I needed, so I headed that way. What an amazing surprise it was to walk into the Pensacola Surplus Warehouse. Neat, very well organized, and very well stocked. They had even pulled and carted the doors I asked about when I called, so all I had to do when I arrived was pay for them. The employees were super and treated me very well. My first point of this post is that I don't believe my wait for doors is at all a factor of the delivery process, but is instead a factor of stock management at the Fort Walton Beach store. How is it Pensacola had numerous doors in stock, but for two weeks Fort Walton Beach hasn't had any? My second point is, if you're like me and find the FWB store a necessary evil just to get the good prices, spend the gas money and time to go to Pensacola instead. After my experience today at the Pensacola store, I'm...
Read moreWe are from Panama City and back in September order over $4,000 worth of cabinets from the Panama City store. That store treated us wonderful! We received half of our cabinets and were waiting on them to come in so we could go pick them up and then Hurricane Micheal happened and damaged the Panama City store along with the other half of our cabinets that had just arrived there. We were told we could call the Fort Walton store to reorder the ones that were damaged along with a spice rack pullout I ordered. Note that we had already paid the $4,000 plus in P.C. for everything already. When I called to talk to the store manager in Fort Walton to go over the cabinets that had been damaged by the storm he was extremely rude. We went over the order once and when I proceeded to try and double check the second time just to make sure we had everything we ordered because we would have to travel over an hour to that store he rudely told me, "if I said I am going to order them that's what I said." I told him that is not how you should speak to a customer. He then told me you must be stressed from the hurricane that hit your town. I guess trying to turn his poor customer service skills and make it seem I was the one with a problem. My husband called him to go over it because after I got off the phone with him I was in tears. He had the same rude mannerism with my husband. Well, weeks later we made the drive from P.C. and not everything I tried to tell him I was missing was there. The spice rack being one of the items. He also told my husband he was aggravated because he was having to deal with all of Panama City's orders and that wasn't fair to him. My husband said sir I'm sorry but that's also not our fault as customers either. The Panama City store is wonderful, great group of employees! Fort Walton store customer service skills from the manager is very...
Read moreArrived at the store at 1:28pm today, not greeted when arriving, not acknowledge after looking at cabinets 15-20mins, then stood in front of the sales desk with no acknowledgement. My wife went and got in line at the register and had to ask if someone could help us with cabinets. We were helped by Jefferies. The store closes at 3pm on Saturdays and when I looked around probably 2:15pm all of the sales team had disappeared. While being helped by Jefferies he kept answering the store phone while helping us. I looked at my wife and said if he answers the phone one more time we are leaving, how degrading. Well, the phone rang again and he answered. We picked up are drawings and measurements and left the store. We were looking at spending 10K+ on kitchen cabinets, completely redoing our kitchen. We went to Home Depot across the street and was helped...
