I thought quite a bit about my rating/ review. I’ll start out by saying that the mattress I wound up with is a really good mattress that I’d rate a 4 out of 5. Unfortunately, my overall experience was a 2 out of 5 at best. The first issue was encountered at the store while negotiating the purchase price. I was quoted a price that included a free adjustable base, a free pillow, and the queen mattress at the price of a twin. When it was time to pay, the saleswoman changed the deal and said the adjustable base was not included with the mattress I chose. I reluctantly agreed to the deal, since the price still seemed fair. The second issue was that the mattress I chose was not in stock and required me to wait weeks for delivery. The third issue was that the delivery date was then “scheduled” the day before the mattress was set to arrive. Thankfully, I am retired, so being home wasn’t an issue. The fourth, and perhaps worst, issue was the wrong mattress was delivered. I didn’t notice this until after the delivery truck was gone and I was putting bedsheets on the mattress. The fifth issue (after a lot of back and forth and multiple phone calls to arrange the mattress exchange) was that I had to wait three days to get the correct mattress delivered, once again having to sit home and waste my day. Read moreWe purchased our mattress set in June and are still waiting for our set to be delivered. We got notified that after 3 months of waiting, the mattress finally made it to the local warehouse. Since that notification our delivery has been rescheduled twice now (once due to safety concerns from a hurricane which I completely understand) I got a voicemail from Tina saying I was rescheduled for today, Friday September 3rd, we called a few days prior to verify delivery and we were told that we are good for delivery on the third. I called the store today because I never received a delivery window the night before and I was told that the delivery is actually scheduled for the 10th of September now. I received no call or any information about why we were rescheduled again.
Update: The mattress set that was scheduled for tomorrow the 10th has now been rescheduled to the 17th. I spoke with Tina again and I was informed that somewhere in between being rescheduled on the 3rd and the 10th, our mattress set was removed from hold at the warehouse and they gave our set to someone else entirely. So now we are back at square one with no mattress that has no estimated date for arrival at the warehouse, which means we’ll probably have to wait another 4 months before we get the set delivered. This has been such a terrible experience and I would advise shopping elsewhere...
Read moreI had previously dealt with the Mattress Firm in Pensacola. I purchased from them a Beautyrest mattress and an adjustable base, I also bought their warranty and pillow set. A $4200.00 purchase, which I was told the mattress and adjustable base were on "clearance" which is why they were discounted to such low prices. Apparently to the Pensacola store "clearance" means PRE-OWNED. I had no idea and no one had even said the words "pre-owned" until I called to check status on my delivery, luckily I caught it and was able to cancel my purchase before they delivered.
I was skeptical to try another Mattress Firm location, but luckily I did and Tina Hines was there to help. She heard me out about the issues I had at another store and she was quick to resolve my issue and go above and beyond to make it right. Tina was exceptional in helping us re-select a mattress and adjustable base, she made sure to take extra steps to check availability for me, made sure I was completely satisfied with the price and quality of what I selected, and kept me up to date on the status of my delivery. Do not waste your time going to any other Mattress Firm, go see Tina at the Mattress Firm in Fort Walton Beach!!...
