Christopher James Menswear — Local services in Fort Wayne

I decided, upon recommendation, to schedule a consultation with Christopher James in July of '23 for my December '23 wedding. I'm in a power wheelchair and I've tried numerous times with other stores to get a suit that fit my... quirky body shape, to no avail.

From that first consultation with Dillon, I knew we came to the right place. He ended up spending two hours with me listening to my needs and taking measurements, making suggestions, etc. My then fiance and I left that day feeling heard and taken care of.

Every time we went in to see Dillon after that, he made us feel totally comfortable and well taken care of. This was not an easy suit for him to piece together, but he did an absolutely stunning job! He is so attentive, thorough, and thoughtful. He treated us like friends, and he honestly became one for us. He even stopped by on the day of the wedding to make sure the suit was laying just right for me while in my chair! He went so far above and beyond for me and my wife.

With suits, you get what you pay for, and we got top notch service and quality from Dillon, and everyone else at Christopher James. The store gets 5 out of 5 stars, but if I could, I would give...

The staff here are absolutely amazing. When my wife passed away recently I needed a suit for the funeral showing and funeral. I planned on going to one of the “off the shelf” stores. I learned that I needed a size that is not typical and not in stock. After visiting several stores, I called Christopher James to see if they had my size. I explained my dilemma, but they also did not have my size. they told me to come in right away and they would see what they could do. I drove right over and by the time I got to the store they had already called the owner and one of their vendors who was now on alert that they would be putting in a rush order for me.

Christopher himself re-measured me, called the vendor and had a suit over-nighted for me. I came back the next morning and they had their seamstress there to do final alterations.

Basically they treated me like their most valuable customer although this was my first time in the door.

While I did not wind up making a purchase here, I feel compelled to leave a five star review. I made about a dozen calls looking for a pair of lined men's day gloves. The gentleman on the phone told me they did not have any but he would do some searching on my behalf. He took down my contact information and called me back within 15 minutes to tell me that they had a couple styles coming in. Unfortunately, they were insulated which was not what I was looking for. What do you know, another 15 minutes go by and I get a call back again because the gentleman I was speaking to took the time out of his day to reach out to one of his sales reps and find a distributor that carried them.
