I’ve come here several times with my fiancé and always loved it but this last time was a disaster. We arrived at 730 via our reservation and were sat immediately. Then were greeted by our waitress who seemed to hate her job honestly was rushing and felt like she was pushing us through the whole time. We ordered drinks and mine tasted like strait bourbon. It’s not supposed to. Then when it was appetizer time my woman ordered gluten free flat bread which we were told you were out of. With her special diet needs this is one of the main reasons we come to this establishment. So we moved on to order the main coarse and at this point it’s 8pm. The waitress disappeared and we could not find her for over 45 minutes. At about 845 she showed back up to take our order. Our food did not come out until about 9:48 PM. once my fiancé cut into her steak. She realized that it was burnt all the way around and unseasoned she ordered the filet mignon, which is our normal favorite thing to get off the menu. Mine was ok but not as great as normal. We were doing the saver Fort Wayne deal and when it was time for dessert about 10 o’clock, the waitress had asked her what dessert she wanted, but had not asked me if I would like dessert which comes with my savor Fort Wayne deal and then proceeded to push us out collect our plates bring our bill as quickly as possible to rush us. I understand that you guys close at 10 PM but we were there at 7:30 and didn’t leave until after 10. Now after reviving the bill they had charged both of us for the Savor Fort Wayne special but my fiancé didn’t get her appetizers and I never got dessert. Very disappointed in the service and food and not sure if we will...
Read moreThe newly redesigned patio and modern open air seating was stunning. This is our go-to for anything celebratory and tonight we brought the kids to celebrate with us. Our seats were perfect, service was top notch too. We had ribeye, filet, spicy grouper sandwich and wagyu burger. All cooked to perfection with flavorful and unexpected dipping sauces. Our server suggested I try the lavender cocktail, it was refreshing and pallette cleansing as promised. The warm apple tart was the exact portion you'd want after a hearty meal. It was beautiful and Hand crafted. Our youngest, who is obsessed with doughnuts, reveled in the beautiful beignets. Hubs and I shared a brownie sundae. You need 2-3 people to eat one. Share it! The brownie seemed to be straight from the oven. All the sauces were magical. So glad we chose Catablu to make the celebration special!
Edit: carryout tonight, hot garlic fried walleye pike, side mediterranean salad. Absolute perfection. 10/10. March 2025
May 2025 We held my mom's retirement dinner here in the atrium. Jared and staff were phenomenal to work with. So much careful thought and flexibility just made the whole experience 10/10. Th ey surpassed my expectations as they consistently do. Well done. Many guests said it was the best filet they'd ever had. Thank...
Read moreI've walked past the restaurant a bunch but never dined there until the other day. It was our anniversary so we figured we would try it out (Usually Nawa, Tolon, Black Canyon, or Hideout 125). Weren't greeted for a bit, wine glass was dirty so had to get a new one, table bread was mediocre, wine ordered was the wrong year from what was listed, steak came out well done when ordered medium-rare, however; they did make a second one. THE FRIED LOBSTER (OMG, Nooooooo....), and the dessert menu was underwhelming. We accidentally got charged for the remake of the steak and had to have the bill fixed after the card was ran (They fixed their wrong). We left disappointed and blah... Note: There is a risk in trying a new restaurant but at $200+ we won't be taking this risk again.
Pros: SW Fort Wayne location, accordion patio doors to create that indoor/outdoor feel, tons of parking, wine selection (they stock a nice selection of red zinfandel, which is usually hard to find), the interior design and the addition of pillows to some of the seats created a nice cozy feel (like Baker Street used to feel), from our experience the food is hit or miss but we've had worse.
Additional Cons: In a strip mall, both the male and female bathrooms are single occupancy (inconvenient during...
