My daughter Meg showed a talent for drawing at a very young age. I set out to find a place where she could get professional level classes, not just craft classes, but classes that taught foundation principles, perspective, shading, form, etc. I was hoping to find college-level instruction geared toward younger students. I was fortunate to find Pancner’s Art School. After meeting Ales and learning about the classes I knew I had found a place for Meg to learn techniques that would enhance her abilities and give her a chance to explore her creativity.
Meg started classes with Ales Pancner in third grade and continued through high school. Pancner’s Art School provided an environment that allowed her talent to grow, inspired her to learn, gave her confidence, and so much more. The limited class size provided plenty of student-to-teacher time. Every Thursday evening Meg was eager to get to class and learn something new or practice a skill she wanted to master. Each Thursday evening I eagerly anticipated seeing what she created! Ales and Renata are extremely talented artists and teachers. They are patient, kind, and encouraging when working with their students.
Meg decided to pursue a career in art. The college-submission art portfolio she created was a reflection of the creativity and expertise inspired and learned through her courses at Pancner’s Art School. She earned a very substantial scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) based on that portfolio. The strength of her portfolio earned her college credits that satisfied some graduation requirements, allowing her to graduate a semester early. Since graduating, she has co-illustrated two young adult books that were recently published. She created a weekly online drawing tutorial that garnered over 30,000 followers during the year she spent creating it. An art professor in Denmark saw the tutorials she created and invited her to teach a week of classes on perspective to his students. For the last two years she has been working as a background artist for a well-known animation studio. Her job provides an opportunity to work on in-house shows and shows brought to the studio.
She is grateful to Ales and Renata Pancner and all those Thursday evening classes that helped her become a working artist. Without Pancner’s Art classes I do not know if Meg would have become an artist, but I do know, without them she would not be the artist she is today.
I highly recommend Pancner’s Art School for anyone who wants to explore their creative side, regardless of whether art is their hobby or...
Read moreAles and Renata Pancner are far more than art teachers and visual painters - they are compassionate, inspiring, supportive and dedicated professionals who truly change the lives of others. Ales and Renata take in each student with a vision at heart. They carefully listen and observe, in order to understand a developing artist’s strengths. They challenge to help young artists grow and in developing personal content. The two artists balance traditional art skills with modern, conceptualized ideas. With one’s strengths in mind, the two Czech-born and trained professionals provide fundamental tools and ideas to enrich individual journeys. Pancner’s Art School is at a caliber beyond what’s offered in Fort Wayne, IN - not to mention the Midwest region entirely. The Pancners provide art instruction that cannot be obtained elsewhere, and this is a culmination of their rich cultural understanding from a European upbringing and world travel, their gentle kindness with expressed compassion towards each student, a beautiful private studio in their home, among many others. I’ve known the Pancners for well over a decade. I attended weekly art instruction throughout my childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. With their support it was possible for me to launch into a successful career of creating and displaying artwork. I give the highest recommendation to the Pancner’s program, and ensure that each young artist joining will transform from the experience. Do not hesitate to call and set up a meeting to get started with Pancner’s Art...
Read moreMy experience at Pancner’s Art School was life changing. I was always a detailed artist and unsure of my potential until I met Ales and Renata who had me try watercolor and freed me from being so detailed in my art. Now I love the free openness of watercolor and it has allowed me to be more free in my illustrations. Watching Ales and Renata teach the talented young and older artist has inspired me to further my artistic education and get a few more degrees under my belt. Now I’m about to graduate from Ivy Tech Community College with Associates of Science and Certification in Visual Communications. Then transfer to Purdue Fort Wayne to get my Bachelors in Art and Design to teach Fine Arts and Design. If I had not attended Pancner’s Art School and met Ales and Renata, I would not be where I’m at today. I’m so grateful and honored to have learned what they have taught me and inspired me. Thank you Ales and Renata for changing my life and believing in me. After I get my degree next spring, I’ll be back for the summer to continue more classes. I recommend anyone and everyone to attend Pancner’s Art School to further your artistic ability regardless of your skill level, trust me their knowledge and teaching will take you to that next level. Thank you so much Ales and...
