It makes me so sad to give this review, because I did end up liking my nails. The reason for the low star rating is because of the sneaky pricing tactics. I specifically asked for acrylic nails and a pedicure when I went in today, because I wasnāt wanting to spend over $100. According to their online menu, an acrylic full set should have been $30. I believe the menu in the store said $35 for a full set. The man who did my nails even repeated back to me that I wanted acrylic nails and a pedicure. I said yes multiple times. Both the lady doing my toes and the man doing my nails also asked on two separate occasions if I wanted gel which I specially said no gel, regular polish only.
I assumed between me saying no to gel and also specifying acrylic nails meant that they understood I wanted regular polish. I should have known they were going against my ask once the UV light came out, but I havenāt had acrylic nails done in a very long time (I usually do dip), so I know if a UV light was a standard step in the process for all nails nowadays.
At the cash register, I noticed the lady click very quickly through the charge screen so I didnāt get a good look at what I was charged for. I was completely shocked when I saw the $100 tab, but Iām not a confrontational person so I just asked for the receipt to look at later.
I ended up getting charged for gel nails that I didnāt asked for. On top of that, I was charged $54 for the set which the online menu shows to be $40. Assuming they had a $5 increase similar to the acrylic set Iād think that the gel set shouldnāt have been more than $45.
It is upsetting that I had made myself pretty clear that I wanted basic acrylic nails and got charged way more than anticipated for something I didnāt ask for. They did listen to me on my toes, though, and did good job with regular polish. No complaints there.
My nails turned out beautiful which I was excited for because Iāve tried many different salons nearby recently that have done an awful job. I thought this would finally be my go to salon. However, I wont be coming back due to the shady pricing tactics. It is disappointing that honest nail salons are so hard to come by nowadays. š Adding a screenshot of the online menu...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time in this beautiful salon thatās extremely close to my house so very convenient , but my experience was terrible. I rarely complain or leave bad reviews, but I would like to help prevent other people having the same experience I had. When I arrived, I signed in and filled out three sheets (myself and two daughters) stating that we needed a fill with polish for one daughter, pedicure for other daughter and pedicure for myself. My daughter sat at the nail station and we sat down in our pedicure chairs. Another man told us we were in the wrong chairs and as we were getting up the front gentleman said no sit down thatās for the other customers who came in after us. 3 other customers came in after us and there pedicures started before ours which was frustrating due to the fact that we were just sitting there with no water in the pedicure bath. After about 15 mins a lady came over to start working on my daughters pedicure and then about 20 mins a lady came to work on mine mind you this was after three other workers had came over and were sent to work on the ladies that arrived after us. As we sit there I notice my daughter getting her nails done walk over to wash her hands before having polish applied and a nail popped off as she was washing her hands-the gentleman looked at her and said are you wanting me to fix that? Seriously is that a question? Yes! So he goes to fix her nail and acting more rude than before. All while Iām sitting in the pedicure chair by my other daughter and the two workers just having a conversation and while not paying attention the lady had the cuticle cutters and cut the side of my big toe causing me to bleed. Of course saying nothing to me but to the worker right next to her cause she looked over at my toe. The rest of the pedicure on that foot was so unpleasant due to everything (fruits, lotions, hot towels, hot wax, hot stone, etc) burning my cut. I just expected that if someone cut someone causing them to bleed they would at least apologize - cause I understand things happen but if she would of been paying attention this could of been prevented. Paying 100.00 for our three services walking out completely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday I went to this salon at 5:13, I saw your reviews and it encouraged me to go more than anything because I had an event and I needed them. I don't usually complain but the truth is that they don't give me money so I can give it away for lousy service. I know that they closed at 6 and that I went last minute but for that very reason I called and they told me that they could help me, when I arrived the receptionist was very kind. They passed me but 3 more people entered who attended first. That doesn't bother me so much because I work in customer service in a restaurant and I know what it's like to see people arrive at the last minute and that all the staff are already waiting to leave but I think that's why they should refuse to attend and you leave upset because they no longer gave you service to let you pass and do a bad job for you in a hurry to want to leave. My nails are small and I have gone to other places and I have NEVER had a job done like this, the raised nails are really horrible and for 54 dollars I would not mind paying them because I have paid even badly but the nails have been of excellent quality and 5 as a tip because I really feel sorry for not leaving anything but for something horrible if I complain, the truth is that they should pay more attention to the quality of the work, I have no complaints about the attitude of the staff but about the work and the logistics of not having order to attend to the first that arrives, I will never go again, much less recommend someone. my nails literally look like chicken feet nails. I think that like the rest I deserve a good service and I...
