Hemlock Haus — Local services in Fort Worth

Wasn’t the biggest fan of this place. A lot of stuff being sold uses AI, there’s definitely a good number of handmade items(the crochet stuff is super cute!) and premade spells but as a artist the AI put me off a lot. A thing of incense I got from here was low quality(incense is falling off the stick) it was called vampire orchid, still usable and smelled good though, was the quality i paid for. Prices are local business prices(high but understandably so). I would suggest hiring someone to make the art instead of stealing it, there’s about a million artists online all with different skill, style, and price points that would happily take the opportunity.

On the positive side if you’re looking for a witchtok millennial wicca esque place(which there’s nothing wrong with that’s just the energy) and supporting someone local then this will probably work for you. Just didn’t for me.

Hemlock Haus is a safe space for the queers, the weirdos, the underdogs, the misfits, the outcasts, the ones that get looked over, the ones that get picked last… they’ve made us feel like what we’ve been told is wrong with us is what’s makes us so special and unique. A true safe space to be yourself where you can find quality items by some of the best vendors from right here in DFW! They have markets, classes, events and workshops! Game nights are SO much funnnn!

There’s so many places in the area hiding behind pride flags claiming to be supportive but actually only profit off of us like so many corporations. I’m SO glad that Hemlock Haus is INCLUSIVE af! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨

Went to a Yule besom making class, I thought they would be teaching us how to make a broom from scratch but instead they bought cinnamon brooms from the grocery store. Unfortunately I learned nothing from them other than hot glue is hot; I thought we were supposed to learn about Yule and why we are celebrating, color magic, or something, but I didn’t learn a thing. The store is great, many options from local vendors. I loved the stores vibe but I will never be paying $45 to hot glue decorations to a cinnamon broom ever again. I was really let down by lack of education, and honestly it dulled the experience.
