West Side Cafe is ABSOLUTELY my family’s go- to breakfast spot and Diner! We visit monthly and no matter what new breakfast places open in town, we always compare their food to West Side’s and we always end up right back where we started!
When the parking lot is full and the line is out the door, you know you’ve stumbled upon something special. The hole in the wall building, the tired 80’s decor and the long wait times are vastly offset by their incredible food, service and patriotism! From the moment you pull into the parking lot, their appreciation for the brave men and women who defend our country is proudly displayed by the American flag hung just outside the entry. Inside, you’ll see a continuation of that support hanging on every square inch of their walls. Proudly framed and displayed are hundreds of pictures of service men and women - mostly veterans. That alone earns them 5 stars from me as a granddaughter to a man who served and the wife of a man who also served!
The food is always 💯! I prefer my fried eggs over medium and they get it right Every. Single. Time! Old school greasy fried Hash Browns? Check! Sourdough Toast and old fashioned Grits? Check! The hubs loves their gigantic omelet and their Steak breakfast platter. The lunch and dinner offerings are equally fantastic with wonderful options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. We always struggle when we go around lunchtime to choose breakfast or lunch!
The service is always awesome and the restaurant is filled with employees who are happy to serve you. They offer curbside pickup and also homemade deserts to go. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and we will be fans and...

I took a few pics of our food today, you can't deny the level of quality here. Pancakes served with real maple syrup, real butter and omelettes made with real eggs, not from a bulk carton. The new owners have really kept the quality and dedication that the original owner fought to develop and provide our community for over 20 years.
The most consistent cafe in town, for as long as I can remember. This was my old man's favorite restaurant to meet up at, have the liver and onions in his memory, you won't regret it. We keep tradition as often as possible and come here anytime we are in Ft Worth and go out for a meal. They have THE BEST food and THE BEST prices. Quality, quick, affordable. I'd eat here daily if it wasn't 45mins from my house. I don't think I've ever seen an empty glass here, or waited more than 10 mins for my food...even when the wait to get in the doors is an hour. Speaking of, while waiting take a look at the hall filled with local veterans and show appreciation for their sacrifice for this amazing country so we can have gems like this place peppered throughout the nation......instead of being stuck with crappy chains that serve you God knows what.
Best breakfast in Fort Worth, great lunch specials you can't miss!!!
Management keeps these folks happy and they all work together as a team, constantly striving to make sure your...
Read moreFirst timer wanting to try multiple items Frito Pie - You might like it but they give you very little fritos and cheese in a large bowl of chilli (lacking in flavor) and I like a dollop of sour cream in mine. I don't live near here but decided to come way out here because of their score. If I return, I'll ask for the additions. Eggs, Bacon, Pancakes A+ Sweet tea A+ There was misunderstanding during the ordering process. They shut the fryer off after we'd ordered FRIED catfish. They served us grilled instead. I've never had grilled catfish before but as a healthier option- it's available to you if you want it. It was ok- just that when you're craving FRIED, grilled just won't do! The pumpkin cheesecake bar. WOWZA way too sweet! I didn't eat it. If you like really sweet desserts and pumpkin pie then you'll like it but be warned as well they call it a cheesecake bar-there was very little cream cheese in this. I feel like that would have counteracted some of the loads of sugar in it. Peach Cobbler is a WET cobbler. I don't care for wet cobblers. I like a buttery sort of crispy edged cobbler and this was so wet & soggy with all the syrup I just didn't care for it but A+ if you like wet cobblers. I did like it better than the pumpkin pie bar. Overall a great place to come get a meal. S E R V I C E IS S U P E R B ! Family vibes all around! Their overall score is well deserved. Come out-...
