Tortilleria La Original de Zacatecas — Restaurant in Benbrook

I am new to this part of town and have been looking for a new home for authentic Mexican food and a great Menudo. When I showed up the Menudo was already sold out which was understandable.... BUT I decided to get some street tacos instead. I was VERY disappointed. The amount of beans and rice they give you in the to go containers isnt enough for a kids meal... and the meat in my tacos was cold. I waited 15 minutes for something I know is already cooked and just waiting to be plated. Not to mention the young girl up front is very rude. Almost ended up at a TexMex place around the corner after recommendations from my course instructors at JRB Fort Worth, but glad I did a little independent research. This place was outstanding - great food for a great value. I tried a variety of tacos including chorizo, barbacoa, carne asada, and el pastor. Also picked up some guacamole. Washed it all down with the dark red drink on the counter - some kind of hibiscus water or something - very tasty. I do not know where to start, I was hungry and I looked for a good place to eat and I found this one because of the amount of stars, I ordered a sope, a torta, tacos and a bistec ranchero and when I started to taste everything was horrible without flavor, I dont know why they say got the best tacos because the tortilla was to hard and the tripa looked like plastic, the steak was chipotle sauce without flavor the nachos was hard too and the sauces without flavor and the only good think whith the torta was that they had burned it.
