I meet Stewart a few years back when I was shopping around for a place to sale my gold jewelry to. I stopped in and got a price but I had forgotten some gold jewelry at home so I held off selling that day. Today I had to take my pup in, emergency situation and I didn't have the money to cover the bill, so I pulled out my gold that I had previously taken to Stewart and a few more items. Since I had visited his location on Broadway a year ago, he had moved to a new location, which I was unaware of. Tried googling but couldn't find new location on cell phone. On my way home to use computer I saw Good Ole Tom's, so I stopped in there. The price given there was less than what Stewart had offered. I left there and headed home to find Stewart's new location on my laptop. I found it and called Stewart, because you have to make an appointment, mentioned to him that he offered me a price a year ago but that I had forgotten a ring I wanted to include and now I have to sale my gold pieces, we made the appointment for later today. I also mentioned why selling now. Stewart meet me at the door and his first question was, "how is your dog doing?" After chit chatting for a bit Stewart added up my gold pieces and when he showed me what he'd offer to pay.... lets just say his offer blew Good Ole Tom's out of the water! it wasn't just his price for gold that I took the time to search him out after he moved locations but also because each time we meet at his store we didn't just talk business. Stewart is such a wonderful man and you can tell he has a heart of gold, he actually loves what he does, meeting new people, chatting over things that aren't even jewelry related and helping people out. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart, not for just buying my gold at a very fair price and not taking advantage of my situation but for being part of helping me to make my situation better. In my opinion, you are not like the "other" jewelry places but head and shoulders above them. Now, I have never purchased anything from them/the jewelry cases... although they have some gorgeous jewelry. I have sold some gold, gotten repairs and most recently had them make something for me out of a couple strings of my mother's pearls. Every time I have visited, they are very welcoming and nice. As a dog obsessed person, I love their little guy who sits in the front... yes, the shop dog makes me love this place even more.

While this review is for all of my cumulative experiences here -- the crafting of the pearl bracelet was the most important experience. I had two strings of pearls that I wanted made into a bracelet. I am not a creative person, and certainly don't 'design' but do know what I like. I wanted a 3 or 4 string bracelet made and pretty much left it up to them to make me something wonderful. After an online and word-of-mouth search this past January, I decided to work with Stewart Kuper Jewelers in creating an engagement ring for my girlfriend Kristen. Green is her favorite color, she's very Irish, and with a birthday in May as well, so I knew I wanted to start with an emerald. I decided upon a 2.94 Carat emerald flanked by two .85 Carat diamonds, all of which were of a higher clarity & quality than I'd hoped for. Stewart's staff put it all together in a White Gold setting, and some how managed to get it all done for me by February 13th; I was hoping that the sentiment & craftsmanship of this fantastic piece of jewelry would over-compensate for my sort of cheesy St Valentine's day proposal.
