First time going here. When we ordered at the counter the person taking our order was very friendly. We ordered a 14” pizza with mushrooms and the a full cheese garlic bread with two fountain drinks and we paid $40.00 so it was pretty pricey for what you get because there are very few fountain drinks to chose from. You will get plastic forks and papers plates. The pizza is a New Haven Connecticut style pizza so if you ever had that it’s a pretty hard crust so please Arizona pizza company invest in real plates and forks, my plastic fork broke multiple times in your pizza. Also when you give pizza sauce with bread sticks don’t give two sides of cold sauce I don’t want to eat hot bread with cold sauce. Garlic bread was pretty good just needs more garlic. Pizza wise the sauce is to tart for my liking but if you like a harder flat pizza it’s for you, I just prefer a New York style. My husband did love the pizza. Also there were rips in the seats and they tried to patch them up with tape it’s not a good look. All together the atmosphere wasn’t great. All together for the pice I paid and what I got it made no sense to me.

I spent the first 40 years of my life in the NY/NJ area. Grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood with lots of old world Italian pizzerias. Neighbors that made and canned their own tomato sauce as well as ordered tons of grapes to press their own wine. Not to mention being a 20-minute ride from Little Italy/NYC. The 14 years I spent in the Dallas-Fort Worth area was a food desert, unless the only things you're into are barbecue and steaks. Any other style food was really hit or miss with maybe 2 or 3 good places in the entire area. Only found three really good pizzerias in all that time. After 3 years in Tucson, I moved into Sabino Canyon a month ago. I've had great pizzas at a few places around town. I was in the mood tonight but didn't really feel like going out. Since they are right around the corner I decided to give them a try. Ordered 'The Company' and a cannoli to go. Not disappointed at all.

12/26/23 update: Decided to give this business another round due to its proximity to Sabino Canyon, until I came across an unpleasant employee. Kegan was lackadaisical in his phone etiquette and had a disgruntled employee attitude. When asked to speak to the manager, "Obed", Kegan informed he was busy and that I should leave a message with him instead. This is a perfect example of how a bad apple can ruin the bunch. Decided to cancel an order for a party of 3. ......................................................................... Food quality is nothing special, 6/10 - had their calzone and Popeye pizza. Portions are larger than normal. Beer 🍺 available next door. Decent option for a post-hike meal

We had a questionable experience at the Arizona Pizza Company (APC) last night. When we asked to speak with the manager, a very rude guy showed-up, informed us he didn't have time to listen to our concerns, and threw $2.50 on our table as compensation for the problem we experienced. His behavior is what now prompts this public review. Since the APC management didn't have two minutes last night to listen to our concerns, maybe he / they will find the time to read our concerns on one or all of the multiple internet review sites which we will now be posting.

First some background: I began going to the Arizona Pizza Company sometime around 2012. Over the past 8+ years, I have watched the food and service at this over-priced and dirty restaurant steadily decline in the quality of their food and service (see the number of their one-star reviews on this and other review sites). The one thing that has been consistent has been APC's repeated attempts to cheat its customers. Given such dishonest behavior, the ONLY reason I had continued to return was because of one bartender who had become a friend.

About 3 or 4 years ago, I wrote a very critical review of the APC when I caught a female bartender pouring well whisky for me when I had been ordering and was being charged for premium spirits. I had been watching her closely make my drinks because that which she was serving to me just didn't taste right. When I confronted her, she denied doing that which I had just watched her doing with my own eyes. At the time of that writing, I wrote and swore I would never go back to the APC. There are simply too many honest merchants out there for me to continue to patronize a dishonest one.

As with most things, time heals all wounds and we recently began returning to the APC, again to visit with our bartender friend. During last night's visit, I ordered a Double Jack Sour. A new female bartender charged me $5.50 for each shot of Jack Daniels and an additional $2.50 for Triple Sec ($13.50 total for the one basic and simple drink in this hole-in-the-wall bar). When I questioned the Triple Sec charge, the bartender's response was the charge was for the sour mix. Seriously? I am 68 years-old and have NEVER seen ANY organization make a separate charge for any (non-alcoholic) mixer in their drinks. Had I ordered a Jack and Coke, would they have made a separate charge for the Coke? What about Jack and Water? How much does a splash of water cost at the APC? This additional $2.50 charge is a fraudulent up-charge and is simply intended to cheat the customer out of additional funds.

When we asked to speak with the manager, his obvious disinterest was well illustrated as described above. This "management" individual is certainly NOT someone who had graduated from the Wharton Business School. In fact, I'd be willing to bet he has never even heard of it, because he clearly knows very little, if anything, about customer service or relations

Is business so bad and money so tight that the APC has to continuously find new ways to cheat their customers? Perhaps business wouldn't be so bad if the APC was more honest and didn't try to cheat its customers in the first place. Unfortunately, I do not think the APC has even thought to consider that possible pathway to greater prosperity....

I would advise every reader to avoid this deteriorating pizza house. Again, there are simply too many honest merchants out there for any of us to continue to support a dishonest one. However, if you do decide to go, take heed and use caution: Look-over your tab and watch your female bartenders VERY closely. If you don't, you will probably pay more than you...

The only reason it got one star is because that's the only way I could post this.

I just stopped into Arizona Pizza Company on sabino canyon road, a place that i've been to often for quick beer either solo or with friends. The bartenders are always very nice, but their clientele leans distinctly to the right. Well tonight that lean got a little extreme!

As I sat drinking my $3 beer, I was subject to a litany of overtly racist comments from the majority of the patrons as they watched protest coverage on Fox News. Not the subtle stuff that we're all somewhat numb to, I'm talking about loudly calling the black protesters monkeys and referring to them as "coco". The loudest of them was yelling "hit him" as if to encourage the protester to hit the reporter. And the is just what stood out the most! I've never experienced such blatant racism in my life.

All the while the poor bartender put up with it, clearly having no guidance from any management as to how to handle patrons like this.

I told her that I had to leave because I couldn't sit and listen to these racists. She nodded her head meekly in understanding. As I turned to leave, the instigator gave me a sarcastic goodbye as it was very obvious why I was leaving.

Here are my takeaways. First, there are people out there who are truly horrible (and this coming from the guy who sees good in just about everyone). Second, establishments that ignore this behavior from its patrons are in effect condoning it.

So, anyone out there that might frequent Arizona Pizza Company, or even if you don't, should call, message, or do whatever possible to let the management know that they have become a de facto home to Tucson's racists. I personally will never set foot in there again. I hope that anyone who sees this will join me in...

First I'd like to begin by saying that I'm not one to normally complain. And certainly never write any reviews. And if I dine out ever and get terrible service, I tip 15%. And 30%+ for good service. Worked in the hospitality industry for countless years.

I've lived literally across the street from Arizona Pizza Company for 8 years. Often our deliveries have always been in the $30-$50+ range. And have always tipped the driver regardless 25% on a delivery that just requires them to cross the street.

Tonight they would not do a delivery for $19.50 which was 50¢ below their minimum delivery. For a delivery across the street. And even after asking Kayla if they would reconsider it was a "no". I do understand policy. But for that rare moment that my bill was 50¢ below the $20 minimum you can't make an exception. I could see if I'd never ordered before and was a few miles down the street. But across the street from someone that usually has bills in the $30-50 range and has always tipped the drivers nicely?

So I went across from them to Nico's Burritos only to look at the AZP parking lot which was near empty. Of course that doesn't mean that they don't have a lot of deliveries. I'll give them that. Probably should've taken photo of parking lot for reference..

In the end this review probably won't mean much, and my burrito is getting cold writing this. I'm actually laughing at myself for writing this. It's really too bad. Because other than this I've had good experiences. So for me to take the time to write a review (I may have 2 or 3 reviews I've ever wrote all these years).

Just really disappointed.

Update: Just checked. I've never written a bad review on Google ever out of the 5 reviews I've written (counted them after...
