Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pete offered to demo a game to us for free (and was genuinely excited to do so), and later didn't charge us for playing Splendor because we got there an hour before closing. He's obviously more concerned with people enjoying themselves than squeezing money out of pockets.
Some friends or regulars showed up and noticed the bowl of free skittles on the counter. They quickly discovered (Pete actually had no idea when he put them out, which only makes this better) that these were zombie skittles where a low % of them taste like bad garlic. The entire place derailed into everybody eating skittles until we had each experienced a bad one. We ended up leaving perhaps a half hour after the stated closing time. I've spent a decent bit in game stores and never experienced something like this before....

He is a man of open character and often when you walk into similar stores the owners or managers are not quite as outgoing nor friendly, however, you get a very welcoming feel from Pete when you walk through the door!
What I was really astonished by was his knack of knowing what exactly kind of game you would enjoy by asking a few simple questions.
