Price is good, but you get what you pay for. This is about quantity over quality - at least for the toddlers and infants. There are helpers in the pool, but the instructor is someone standing outside of the pool talking into a mic and changing what we do every 5 minutes - seems very lackadaisical. If you actually want to acclimate your children (I can only speak on 15 months and under) to the water, I'd recommend elsewhere (speaking from experience). The pool is cold, they state it's heated to 80 degrees but it feels much colder. Lots of kids in the younger group just shiver constantly for all 30 mins (this is in the November timlockere frame). The benches in the locker room are maybe a foot wide to change your kids, so they get to lay there freezing while you dry and change them. Nothing but "it's so cold, sorry we will be done soon" comments in the both locker rooms (my wife and I both have changed our son in each respective room). We had no idea it would be so cold, coming from another facility we previously purchased swim lessons from. No partial refunds can be made here, only credits for future classes if you have a doctor's note. Overall, I would not recommend Fraser Aquatics for toddlers.
Edit: In response to the response I received and after some quick research I see that since the pools primary function is for a high school swim team the pool water should be around 80 degrees Fahrenheit as to prevent overheating. It's seems a basic recommendation for "children" is 82 - 86 degrees. For "babies/infants" that's upwards of 86 - 90. I can't speak to different regulations such as a being labeled a therapeutic pool vs. a regulation (for competition) pool, but with this knowledge I would still advise people who have kids under 2 to stay away, at least during the winter...
Read moreMost of the instructors here are great. An elderly woman who taught the young kids (ages 4?) was pretty mean. My kids weren’t in her group but I sat right there listening to her be incredibly rude to these kids. My own kids witnessed it and couldn’t believe this woman’s attitude. I had an experience with another instructor who didn’t like me and my two year old walking in and out of the door that was propped open. I sat in the corner by the door on purpose, so if my toddler had a melt down I could go outside to the hallway. She very rudely told me not to do that anymore, we didn’t bother anyone but her. We did this on numerous occasions during the summer and fall times, without any other instructors being bothered. The door was propped open. I was right there with my child. Between her and the elderly lady I couldn’t come back. The other instructors were...
