Stopped in around 6:30 pm on a Thursday evening and placed a take out order for two. The waitress told me it would be about 15 minutes. After about a half hour a different waitress approached me and asked me info for the take out order. Took another 10 minutes to retrieve my order and get cashed out. Get home and the food was cold and missing a side of fries. They were a little less than 50% capacity at the time. The last time we were there to eat a few months before the service was poor (long wait) and my wife's food was sent back due to being overcooked . They have a long way to go to be back to where they were when they first opened! Management needs to get their act together. EDIT: Gave it another chance 6/11/25 arriving at 4pm with only 4 tables seated. Went from bad to worse. Reduced from 3 stars to 1. I ordered a slim jim combo and salad bar and my wife ordered the classic blockbuster breakfast. Asked twice for silverware & napkins. I ended up going to the counter and selecting it myself from a basket of clean silverware. Waitress (name Pandora was on the receipt) brought her order missing the hash browns and only bacon, no sausage links. Bacon was overdone. Questioned the waitress and she said my wife didn't ask for hash browns in an argumentative manner... Why ask for it if it's supposed to come with it! And supposed to include 2 bacon and 2 links! She then brought out a plate of undercooked hash browns soaked in grease! The acting supervisor (no manager on the premises) ended up comping the breakfast and making her a new plate. My slim jim sauce didn't really taste like normal slim jim sauce... Maybe just like mayo? The salad bar was in sad shape too.

My first visit to the newly opened Big Boy in front of the Big Boy Arena. Since it's lunchtime on a Sunday, of course I went for the breakfast buffet. (I try to avoid making decisions on the weekends. Buffets let you have it all. 😁) My table's ketchup was empty after one squirt so I stole from the next unoccupied table. Same problem. Tried another & that one was already gone. Gave the two empties to the server (Scott) but, even after he refilled my water & later dropped off the bill, I got no filled bottle returned. 😔 At my second trip, since no ketchup was to be had, my choices were severely restricted. So, French toast. Damn, the syrup is almost gone! 😔 Was able to scrap enough out for my serving but woe to those who followed me, that tank is dry. No pancakes, French toast or waffles getting eaten now. Guess salad is unaffected. šŸ™„ The food is good, filling and a fairly wide selection for breakfast. Not as hot as expected, though. The industrial vibe inside does have one detriment: echoes/volume. Concrete floor and exposed ductwork make for a louder-than-necessary environment. I'll come back, I ā¤ B.B. for many reasons. I'm hoping this visit was a one-off. Too many issues.

First off - yeah! Another Big Boy restaurant in Michigan; love it! As a long-time fan of the Big Boy's off of Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI I must say the ambiance here is 100% different. It feels like a huge, ultra conformed, coney island. You'll need to leave that desire to have the old cozy Big Boy feeling aside. I also really miss the claw machine, lol. Old Big Boy feels aside this is a clean, spacious, well-organized, well-run Big Boy. Our servers were excellent, never lacking for a refill on our drinks or an extra napkin if needed. The food was cooked perfectly and served hot. The prices are right, there is plenty of parking available. The salad bar was very clean and well-appointed. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and wish this new location much success.

Review of Big Boy Fraser Restaurant Breakfast Buffet

Date of Visit: July 7, 2024 Time: 11:30 AM Location: Big Boy Restaurant

Ambiance: Walking into Big Boy Restaurant, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant had a classic, family-friendly feel with comfortable seating and pleasant lighting. The buffet area was well-organized and clean.

Food: The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. The fruit bar was fresh and well-stocked with a variety of seasonal fruits. I particularly enjoyed the freshly sliced melons and berries.

The hot food section included an impressive array of breakfast staples, with a range of fresh ingredients.

Service: The service at Big Boy Restaurant was exceptional. Our server was attentive, refilling drinks promptly and clearing plates efficiently. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the staff managed to keep the buffet well-stocked and clean.

Management: During our visit, I had the pleasure of speaking with the restaurant manager, Emandalae. He was genuinely interested in our dining experience and asked for feedback on the food and service. Emandalae's professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident, and it was clear that he took great pride in maintaining high standards at the restaurant. His friendly demeanor and willingness to engage with customers added a personal touch to our visit.

Overall Experience: Our experience at Big Boy Restaurant Breakfast Buffet was fantastic. The variety and quality of food, combined with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, made for a memorable dining experience. The manager Emandalae's involvement and attention to detail were particularly impressive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying breakfast buffet.

First and last time visiting this Utica road location. The first thing I noticed when walking in was how loud it is in there. Not just from the gaggle of screaming children, but also from the complete lack of acoustical insulation. If they had hot wings, it would have been the same as Buffalo Wild Wings. There was a note on the door apologizing for not having the Sunday breakfast buffet, which didn't bother me too much, but it lends to the service level. We were rushed by the waiter to order. We thought at first that it was due to a large group of kids not having ordered, and he knew that it would take some time. I ordered French toast with sides of hash browns and bacon. My wife asked about getting only a veggie omelet, which she was told would not be an issue. In the meantime, food was being taken, at a leisurely pace, to the pack of screaming kids. They had already placed their orders. We saw no reason to rush into ordering as we were. The food came. My wife's singular, smallish, veggie omelet on a plate. My 4 pieces of french toast (2 slices of bread cut diagonally) on another plate. The "hash browns" were yet another plate containing undercooked, barely browned on only one side, potato cubes (note, these are not hash browns). The bacon was also served on yet another plate. The French toast appeared to have been cooked on only one side. The other side had little to no color. This means that the minuscule "coating" of egg wash that was applied to the bread was either barely or not cooked on one side. Raw eggs, yummy. My wife's omelet also appeared to be undercooked and runny. We reviewed the bill and found $32 for this "meal". She looked further and saw that she was charged $13 for an entire meal, including the omelet, even though she had asked for and received only the omelet.

I will update the review if we end up with food poisoning later...

Horrible service! Went with my family for mother's day dinner. NO, they were NOT busy but the service was one of the worst experiences we've ever had! The waitress literally kept forgetting almost everything, my son wanted pickles with his burger, we would remind the waitress who then would walk away to get them then turn around and not come back and when she would, shed forget them AGAIN, not to mention my son doesn't like anything on his burgers except bacon, burger, cheese and pickles. We told them no ketchup, mustard, mayo or anything as my son does not like that stuff and they still put whatever sauce or something(we dk for sure) on it, my mom's food sat there ready to go for quite some time before they finally brought it to her while the rest of my family had their food, we paid for the salad bar just for them to start closing it down an hour before they closed. They did not tell us it would only be open for so much longer at the time when ordering. So money wasted there! Not to mention they started shutting lights off an hour before closing so of course we felt rushed. Last I knew, at big boy, each table has its own parmesan cheese. This entire place only had 1 so they had to pass it around to other tables????? šŸ¤” All around it was one of the worst restaurant experiences my family and I ever had and I wouldn't go back there if it was the last big boy on the planet! The food was good but the service was horrible! I do NOT recommend this location!! Also, my mom ordered door dash from this location before and same thing with forgetting stuff. What is the pad of paper for then when writing down customers orders? šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I'd give them 0 stars if at least 1 wasn't required to submit my review. Except the food. Very surprised that was even good even though the chicken looked burnt because of the dirty fryer! Never again for...
