I’m not a person who usually writes reviews, but I like shopping at Gabe’s for their products and friendliness. However, I was disappointed with my shopping experience today. I went into Gabe’s today with my mom and sister to shop. Then, me and my mother go to the fitting room area to try on clothes while my sister waits for the both of us. As soon as me and my mother were finding a room to try on our clothes, an employee under the name of Judy comes in and tries to accuse us of stealing. I don’t like disclosing this but I have a disability and so my mother wanted to put me in the same room with her so I can try on my clothes using her assistance.
The stars are for the lady at the fitting room counter, Maria who was pleasant and sweet enough to thereafter allow me and my mom to go into the same room to try on our clothes. As soon as we got our room, my sister witnessed and heard Judy tell Maria, at the fitting room counter and I verbatim would like to share this: “Go check on them.” As a note for management or the owner: We paid for our clothes after we were done with the fitting room. I enjoy coming to Gabe’s to shop, but I highly ask that you take action or retrain your staff on how to treat your customers with respect and to not profile them in this manner. Read moreWas making a purchase at the register. My total came to $19.05. I gave the cashier Elena a $50.00 bill. She rang the purchase up and gave me 1.00 in change. I advised her that I paid with a $50 dollar bill. Instead of her opening the register to check, she proceeded to argue with me for 5 minutes stating that I did not use a $50 bill while management stood there and said nothing. I told Elena to open up the register or have security look at the cameras as I was not leaving without my proper change. She opened up the register and guess what??? The $50 bill I used to pay was right in the register like I knew it was. She started with the fake apologies and I just stared at her and took my change and merchandise then left. Gabe's please get some competent cashier's that know what customer service is. I've been in healthcare and retail management for years. Read moreI purchased swim trunks and a 3 pack of men's underwear! When I got home I noticed the PKG had been previously opened with a hole in 1 pair and different brand of another underwear?!?! I immediately returned to Gabe's and had no problem exchanging them for another PKG! Was very pleased with the experience both times! (It was my fault for not noticing the opened PKG) Well done Gabe's!! Had to return gifts given to me from a friend,(that tore off the skew # while removing the price tag) So I couldn't return that gift and I found the duplicate, other than a size bigger, and tried to do an even swap ( Manager said I owed 30 cents??
