The Aldi Tax. I stopped trying to do grocery pickup here after the first miserable experience, but I continued to buy basic stuff here for my lunch at work. I have had to throw away so much produce that I started calling it "the Aldi tax". I know you can return it, and I have, but I don't have time to make a second trip almost EVERY time I go there. It seems like lately I've been having trouble even with things like potato chips being stale in the bag, bread that sticks to the plate, "fresh" spinach (I gave up on buying lettuce there long ago). So I tried the other grocery store near my work (rhymes with Zeiss), and despite the slightly higher prices I actually have LOWERED my monthly lunch expense. I NEVER have to throw away produce or anything else and frankly the food tastes better. Aldi, I've been trying to make this work for years. I'm done. I'm not coming back. I will not miss you. Also the lack of customer service is no what I would call "innovative". This company has no way to call a store, or speak to a representative. Good luck if you have a problem. Update: after painstakingly writing out an email, with all of my personal information required, I got a message that says they think it's Spam and I...
Read moreI recently had a frustrating experience at Aldi. I was browsing the aisles, looking for a specific item, when I encountered a particularly unhelpful employee named Markina. Despite my polite inquiries, she seemed completely disinterested in assisting me. Her responses were curt and dismissive, and she offered no guidance or suggestions when I expressed confusion about the store's layout or product placement. Markina's behavior was not only unhelpful but also quite rude, creating an unpleasant shopping experience. It was clear that she had no interest in providing customer service, and her lack of professionalism left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer.
This interaction left a negative impression on me. Aldi prides itself on offering affordable groceries, but a positive shopping experience also hinges on the quality of its staff interactions. Markina's behavior was a stark contrast to the generally positive experiences I've had at other Aldi locations. In the future, I'll likely think twice before shopping at this particular store if I can't be assured of more courteous and competent...
Read moreFirst and last time going into this store. I don’t understand why employees get paid to stand around. The shelves were horrible merchandise everywhere doesn’t look like they cleaned in months and don’t ask an employee a question about where an item is located, the one person I asked told me “over there, I don’t know” So I’m like okay no problem..I left and will never return. SMH but if you like rummaging through a mess of merchandise to find items then this is the store for you. I’d rather pay a couple dollars extra at another store than to get food or merchandise from a store, that’s...
