PSA - WARNING !!!!!!!!!
Whatever you do, do not - DO NOT stay here! As a young female, I was passing through on my way back home from visiting family and decided I could not drive anymore, after searching every hotel in the area this was the only hotel with availability. I took the first room available and instantly showed my gratitude to the front desk staff for accommodating me at such a late hour. While I was grabbing my luggage out of my car I was approached by a large man wearing a black tee, tan cargo shorts, and a black baseball cap. He startled me and came out of no where, he asked me if I needed help with my bags, I quickly declined help out of being startled and fear. He insisted to help me to my room, and stated he worked at the hotel as MAINTENANCE! Judging from his appearance, and slurring of his words; clearly he had been drinking heavily - I was in disbelief this person was an actual employee, he had no uniform! I politely declined once more and assured him I was fine. The individual then laughed/grunted and stumbled away around the hotel corner. I quickly grabbed my bags and tried to locate my room. Once at my room door, I was only a few hundred yards away from my vehicle when I saw the man stumbling back in my direction whistling in a creepy horror movie type way. He started yelling out at me "Hey girl" Hey sexy" I was terrified! I got inside of my room and slammed the door and dead bolted it! I ran around the room to find a phone to call the front desk, however, there wasn't a working phone! I grabbed my iPhone and instantly googled the number, when I called the front desk the phone just rang and rang. I called 10 times without success and finally gave up out of exhaustion, I peaked out of my window and the peep hole for the door and everything looked calm outside, I double checked my car to ensure the alarm was set. I didn't see the drunk lunatic guy anywhere, so I tried to take a hot shower and get into pajamas, I wanted to checkout as early as possible given the recent events. While I was in the shower I could hear a weird sound, I brushed it off as just the age of the building. When I got out of the shower I kept hearing the sound, this time it grew louder, then suddenly it stopped. I turned the lights out and got in bed. At an exact 2:04AM I was woken to the sound again, it was sudden and abrupt! It was clearly coming from the door, I tip toed over to the door with my pepper spray and looked thru the peep hole and I was in shock to see the drunk lunatic guy at my door standing inside of the door jam, basically hugging the door, and I could tell he was using a card key similar to what the front desk gave me to try an open my door. I quickly screamed and said I was calling the police!!! The guy on the other side of the door just seemed to laugh as he continued to try and open the door, I could tell he was beyond drunk!!! I frantically called the police and then the front desk, still no one answered at the front desk. I ran around the room and grabbed my things while shoving a chair in front of the door to barricade it. After a minute or so I didn't hear the guy at the door anymore, and I checked through the window and peep hole, I didn't see the lunatic anywhere. I set off my car alarm as a deterrent and kept calling the front desk, still no one answered. I saw a police officer and I quickly opened my door and ran outside, I told the police officer everything and I was reassured they were going to patrol and try and find the crazy guy. Meanwhile I grabbed my bags and got in my car and immediately left, I was still in my pajamas and beyond exhausted but completely shaken and running on pure adrenaline. I got on the interstate and never looked back. Whatever you do, don't stay here, put your safety first and go...
Read moreIf I were able to give this establishment negative stars then I would. My husband and I stayed here for months because it was all that could be afforded. But, it was the worst experience we've ever had anywhere. It is supposed to be a business dedicated to hospitality and you will receive everything but that. The crime element is high, with drugs being dealt in the parking lot. They try to make it seem safe by having police drive through it daily but they do nothing. We went months with no hot water and then when the hot water got fixed there was subsequently no cold water for the rest of our stay. Then, the bed bugs. They are running rampant through the building. We got bit every day and night. Yeah, I said that right. So many bed bugs that they came out during the day. They refused to replace our and bed and bed frame. Even after showing them video of the critters. The staff are completely useless because they don't want to help anyone. There's nothing considered to be real maintenance going on at all. Just a maintenance man who walks around all day. Oh and there's a resident on the premises who is crazy thinking he is self appointed security. Please whatever you do, don't waste a dime on this place. They are screwing good people out of money. This place should be shut down by someone. Even if it's a couple dollars more, PLEASE GO...
Read moreNever have I ever had such a horrible experience at a motel. When I first when in, I went in to the bathroom and it was AWFUL. There looked like mold on the toilet, there was a bug on the wall, and the bathtub was too disgusting to use. When my bf stepped out of the room and tried to come back in, we found out that he couldn’t open the door. I tried d to open the door from the inside only to find out that the door wouldn’t open FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUSIDE of the room. A really nice woman from the front desk tried to get the door open while waiting for the maintenance man to come, only for the whole lock to come out when she tried her key. But even then, it STILL wouldn’t open. The maintenance man was smoking a cigarette and had a terrible attitude, making it seem like it was my fault for having the deadbolt locked, even though I had tried every single way to open the door, locked an unlocked, and none of them worked. After about 30 minutes of being locked out (and me in) we got moved to a new room with promise of a discount for our troubles. The only reason it deserves a star at all is for how apologetic and sincere the front desk lady was about the whole situation. Overall, I would recommend staying...
