At the Service Center, Dianna was helpful, kind and knowledgeable, but the service took a long time. About a week after purchasing my new car, I received a call from the service center saying that the parking sensors I had ordered had arrived. Dianna took care of the paperwork and got me a rental car as the installation would take all-day, and the car would be ready at the end of the day.
The installation took 5 days (4 if you don't count Labor Day.) They contracted the install out to a third party, Coach.
After testing out the parking sensors, I immediately noticed how loud they were - almost shouting level, and they didn't stop even after I put the car in park. The manual talked about a parking sensor button that you could press for some seconds to deactivate the rear sensors. There was no button; there was a switch. I also noticed that my driver display wasn't showing a diagram of the car and which sensor was being activated. I made another appointment for the service center to look at it.
Dianna noted my concerns, tried to contact the third party mechanic, and after several failed phone calls, issued me a rental car so I could drive to work. She kept me updated through the day, and following days. She told me that the third party had installed aftermarket parking sensors, and that they were operating as they should. She could tell I was upset and asked what would make me happy.
I told her I would like Honda parking sensors that worked with the driver display and operated as the manual described they should. When I was purchasing the car, I told the salesman, Fred, that I wanted parking sensors and he showed me a Honda-labeled price list of parts and accessories. I selected the parking sensors, so I'm not sure how I ended up with aftermarket sensors in my car. Dianna understood and made it happen.
I picked up my car 5 days later and the parking sensors seemed great, integrated with the car's display screen and chimed pleasantly.
I noticed immediately that the left most parking sensor seems to go off even when the nearest object isn't in the path of my car, but I figured it was picking up shadows or something. I also found two chips and a scratch on the left rear bumper right near the left most parking sensor. I'm struggling to ask about it though. After being apart from my car for 10 days, I feel like settling with these things.
I appreciated the rental car and I am so grateful for Dianna's determination in getting me the correct parking sensors, but it just seemed to take so long that I...
Read moreMy husband's Honda car 2024 Honda HR-V, was recalled because of The front seat belt pretensioners. We went directly to AutoNation Honda Fremont at around 3pm this afternoon without an appointment.
Service Advisor CHRISTOPHER AMAYA received us. Because our English was not good, we originally thought that coming today would be considered as an appointment. Unexpectedly, Christopher helped us arrange a time. We just had to wait for a while because there were other reserved cars that had not been processed yet. But we are also very satisfied and thank him very much, otherwise we would have to make another trip later.
After about an hour or so, everything was completed, and Christopher gave us the inspection report. The results were normal, and there was no problem with the front seat belt of the car. And they washed our car for free, which was really pleasant.
The most important thing is that today our car also had a problem with the brightness of the navigator display being dim, because my husband may have accidentally touched a setting by mistake when connecting his mobile phone to the car, and we ourselves don’t understand and can’t. operate.
Christopher was also very patient in helping us solve the problem, and carefully taught me how to operate the display settings so that if it happens again, I can restore it myself. Really thank him very much!
And I was worried about what to do if the brightness of the reversing instrument also dimmed. He also taught us after some research.
Then I told him that the brightness of the rearview mirror in the car sometimes suddenly dimmed, and returned to normal after a while. He checked our rearview mirror again, and then told us that it was because a small switch was touched and pulled down. It will become darker, and it will return to normal after put it back. I am so happy, and all my doubts have been resolved.
Thank you very much, Christopher, for your work attitude and caring for your customers. Because of your excellent service, we will choose AutoNation Honda Fremont in the future.
I will recommend this place to my friends, thank you so much Christopher! And wish you a happy...
Read moreI was going there for routine maintenance of my 2023 Honda Odessy,(BTW, they never told you when should be your next appointment or put a sticker on windshield to remind you, I guess they may tell you once the 3-year warranty expires as this is how they treat customers pay with or without out of pocket? Apparently worse than the other dealership I have been to), I arrived on time at 1pm, and went to one check in desk(there are more than 5 desks, and they seem busy without serving any customer), then was directly to another person and asked me to wait by the side of my car outside. About 15 minutes later, no one showed up, then I rechecked with front desk (he is still busy without any customer), I was directed to the other person while he was working with a customer ( don’t know how they handled the appointments to different staffs). Again waiting for about 10 minutes, and he got my key and asked me to wait again! I thought they would take care of my car now, so I went to lobby to have my lunch, and I can see the staffs are making jokes as there is no customers. Then another 10 minutes later, my car was still not moved by any one, I went to desk and was told if I need some service which cost about $400, which I have clearly told them no while I was scheduling the appointment. By then, it was 1:35pm, I thought I probably would come to work around 2:35pm as I was too the service would take 1hour as my previous experience. Then the staff told me to wait for 2 hours, which was totally running out of my patience. Due to my other schedules in the afternoon, I eventually cancelled the appointment and drove back to work without any delays. And I promised I will never come to this dealership even it’s free. Alright totally waste about 2 hours including the driving time +waiting time + review, hopefully, it helps other owners to saved time by avoiding dealing with this Fremont AutoNation Honda service...
