If I could give negative stars I would. To start I would just like to say that I’ve never left a review in my life but now I have to. I have to save any plus size bride the body shaming and most embarrassing experience of my life that I experienced at my appointment. In high school I got my prom dress here so I was optimistic about shopping here for my bridal dress. I’ve been plus size my whole life and have not changed much in size since high school. I would like to say the staff was kind and tried to do what they could to help me find a dress I could actually try on. When the appointment started they did state that pretty much all they had in store was a size 12 and some 18. I’m a 22 in street wear so probably a 26 -28 in bridal. I should have walked out then. I was trying to be optimistic and give it a try. The lady was like oh we can pin some things to fit better and if you can’t try on a dress you can put it up to you and imagine. I’m not positive if there were other plus size dresses I missed because they were not my style but when I am shopping for the most important dress I can ever wear I should not have to images and they can order it in for me if I like it. Also holding a dress up to you and trying it on your body are two very different things. I did try 2 dresses on and I should have trusted my self and not have. I struggle a lot to get them on and off. During that experience I began to get so self conscious and began to cry. I truly walked out the store crying! WORST BRIDAL EXPERIENCE EVER. The consultants even said they have tired to tell the owner they need to carry more plus sizes. I 100% agree. If you can’t be bothered to carry samples dresses in my size then you don’t deserve my business. I’ve been to a couple other stores with an actual plus size selection and even though I didn’t find my dress at those stores I felt like a bride and not shamed because I don’t look like a “typical” bride. I even called to schedule my appointment before hand and if as a store you are not going to carry a wide size range then either state that when making the appointment or ask the bride what size she is on the phone. I promise I would have rather had that awkward question on the phone than to have to leave the store in tears in front of a bunch of strangers with my Mom following me. I’ve worked really hard my entire life to try to see my self as beautiful in my own body and this experience definitely pushed me back a couple steps. It’s 2023, just do better...
Read moreIf I could zero stars I would, Katie & Eliot are the only people who were kind to us throughout this “experience” I found my dream dress, but there were shoe mark stains as someone must’ve stepped on it, they said they would clean it and have it shipped to us within two weeks. Two weeks past they said they haven’t cleaned it yet. At the end of three weeks they said they would ship it in three days. At the end of four weeks we had to call them AGAIN, and they said they couldn’t send my dress out. For some reason they didn’t feel the need to call me and tell me I wouldn’t get my dream dress!? I went to go shop for another dress the next day to find something similar. After I call a store and Georgia, they agree to ship me a dress similar for the same price. On our way back from North Platte we get a video of my dress being cleaned. I was in tears, I now have a total of $1600 worth of dresses. Katie, the manager who was extremely helpful offered a solution and was the reason I got this dress. I would like to remind you we drove three hours to come to this dress store, where the owner immediately pointed me towards the clearance section. When I went to pick up my dress for the last time I was met with avoided eyes and rude glares from staff. Not to mention BOTH the owners of the dress store said absolutely nothing to me and acted as if I wasn’t almost cheated out of an $800 dress. The only compensation that was given to me were earrings that they bought for $10 whole sale. I wrote a letter to the owner how I felt hurt with the way I was treated and how the situation was handled and heard absolutely nothing back. This place is not somewhere I would recommend you...
Read moreI went to Black Tie & White Satin on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 with a Bride to be. And let me say 10/10 would absolutely recommend with all my heart. We previously went to Davids Bridal and had Bobette as an assistant/guide. She was a miserable person and it was just trying on dresses. There was ZERO experience. Which I personally feel adds to dress finding. So after lunch we went to Black Tie & White Satin. Davids Bridal had me a little on the fence for expectations. But we arrived early, and we were greeted by 3 beautiful ladies with smiles on their faces and a warm welcoming. They just so happened to be able to get us in early, which was so nice! They definitely could've made us wait. We had an amazing lady helping us, she showed us what each section was, how to read the tags, talked about different styles, colors, and fits. She really took her time with all of us (we were a group of 5 one being the Bride to be). She was so sweet and helpful. She cheered with us. Gave us amazing insite. And more importantly helped my best friend find a dress that she feels in love with upon immediately wearing it. She had tissues on hand and was just so delightful. Our lady was so transparent about everything. We didn't have a single question because she was so throughout and pleasant. I didn't go for me but I will be recommending to EVERYONE!!! We were there for 2/3 hours and not a single time did we feel rushed. The shop was clean, cute, organized, the workers were amazing, they had a very large selection of dresses and colors, a good range of pricing. They had a dress for any dress up occasion. RECOMMENDING WITH EVERY INCH OF...
