I don't know what the heck happened. Honestly. If I could go back and watch in slow-motion I would. It was a bit before lunchtime around 11:40 am when our food came out. The chips and salsa were meh. We ordered simple no fuss no muss because we had an appointment at 1 pm. I ordered grilled mushrooms on my nachos and they were delicious. Cheese nachos with grilled mushrooms and cheese enchiladas. My friend had a burrito platter. We each had a fountain cola. We were both very hungry. Our food took a while to arrive. My tummy was rumbling as was my friend's even after the chips and salsa. We had had a busy morning and drove 80 miles to get to Fremont and hadn't eaten breakfast. We got our food. It looked amazing and it tasted good. Our stomachs were satiated. Walking to the car my stomach rumbled again. I couldn't possibly be hungry. By the time I got to the car, the sweat started. We both got in and he started to drive. Unfortunately, we don't know our way around Fremont. My friend rubbed his stomach and said he may have to use the restroom when we arrived at our destination. I assumed it was because he drank 2 sodas. NOPE! As he said this he noticed my sweaty upper lip. The hair around my neck dripped with sweat and my hands were clutching my abdomen. Then we both saw the fear in each other's eyes. This was dihedral distress at its fiercest. We were both cramping and sweating so horribly. To this day I don't know how he kept the car on the road. The drive to our appointment is cloudy with some time frames missing. I remember a large deep and muddy ditch as we drove and thinking I could make it down there if needed. I laid my head back on the seat, clinging to consciousness by listening to the pleas my friend was mumbling about making it there soon. That 10 minutes was eternal. I came to when I heard him slam the car door and shout YES, we made it!! He had left me behind. I was shaking and praying and fumbling with my seat belt. I stumbled out of the car and ran, hobbled maybe limped in, and thanked God the whole way to the private bathroom for toilets, toilet paper, and the superb driving skills that my friend has. I still have the buy 10 meals get the 11th free card. It will forever have one...
Read moreHonestly I was disappointed. I hardly ever give less than a five-star review. And I had high hopes when I saw the 4.7 overall review on Google.
To begin with, the chips were pretty bland. I've had lots better. The entre itself was fine. My wife and I both got the chicken chimichanga. It's supposed to come with guacamole and sour cream but there couldn't have been more than a teaspoon of guacamole or sour cream with the entire entre. It was pretty abysmal. So then I asked them for more guacamole and more sour cream and they brought out some excellent guacamole and excellent sour cream but then we got the bill and saw that they charged us $5 for the guacamole and a dollar for the sour cream. I wouldn't mind paying for guacamole and sour cream if the meal isn't supposed to already come with it.
The manager did come around several times asking if everything was okay but he was moving so quick that he didn't really give us any opportunity to comment. And our server was really totally non attendant to us. I certainly...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I never write reviews but this place amazed me. Came to eat here this past weekend off of a recommendation from our favorite server at JC Steakhouse (which we also absolutely love, this family is doing something right!). and now I have to give her a huge thanks because this will now be a regular stop whenever we make our way to Fremont! I had the Burrito Rojo which was steak, onion, cilantro, rice, beans, then topped with their SPICY salsa and a red salsa, my husband ordered the molcajete (has pork, steak, chicken, shrimp, veggies in a huge lava bowl) which he said was the best he has ever had, then my son order the authentic tacos and he was in love! Me and the hubby both ordered margaritas and they are my new favorite! The staff is very friendly and attentive, the owner seems very friendly as well, he made it a point to greet all the tables and ask how everyone was doing. I can not wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. DEFINITELY...
